I was going to vow my sanguinary priest, but he had an accident.  Thus, my DC chaplain moves to first in the queue.  

 

I Hannibal rise to the challenge of From Rage to Salvation and vow to complete one death company chaplain and one storm bolter for a razorback on or before November 30th, 2016. Should I bring honour to the Blood AngelsI will proudly wear the IRATUS DOMINUS badge; should I fail I will display the CARCERES IRA on my chest as a reminder of my shame.

Welcome aboard!

 

I started painting tonight and then realized I might as well pledge the models before I get any more done. My laptop is dying so taking a real pic is a pain, so sorry for the phone pic. I'll take a real one when I finish.

Alright, second vow done.  I'm pretty surprised I got them painted so fast.  They'll need a little touching up and highlighting the metallics since the wash kind of dulled them, but that can be later.  Right now I'm more concerned with just getting enough stuff painted that I could potentially field a full army that is actually painted, haha.

I'm contemplating a third vow.  I might be pushing my luck though, haha.  I have a lot of partially painted models because I rarely want to sit down and paint something start to finish.  

 

Good speed on those all things considered and congrats on an interesting scheme :thumbsup: What type of things have you in the part-done section? (if you're like me, the answer is lots...)

As far as I am aware, a Sanguinary Priest, a Captain, 2 Librarians (one TDA), Karlaen, a DC dread, LR redeemer, Stormraven, DC chap, Astorath, a Contemptor dread, 5 terminators, 5 scouts, 3 razorbacks, one Baal pred.  I don't see anything else (besides my Ad Mech stuff) from here.  At least it's all put together now!  I got quite a few complaints about armless/headless models over the summer, haha.

Ive been making progress on pods, but Emperors shiny tresses they are a slog, especially as the 2 preowned ones arent in sub assemblies! 

1 just needs some highlights and Scorching, the other 2 need inking first :) 

Oh and hazard stripes! Arg!

How do you feel about that monsterous chappy? I have the model but I took the powerfist off. I've been thinking about going back and re-attaching it.

 

 

Whaaat?  That's like really the thing that makes it the best PA chaplain model ever released imo.. Besides, Chaplains with Power Fists are damn badass :D Go attach that thing back on!

I will proudly wear the IRATUS DOMINUS badge; should I fail I will display the CARCERES IRA on my chest as a reminder of my shame. 

 

They are currently resting in various states of undercoating and dont really merit another photo :tongue.: (Theres one earlier in the thread) 

So! Drop Pods are awfully tedious to paint, especially when you didnt build 2 of them and they arent subassembled properly! But...

Completes my Vows for now, i have some other pods im rescuing but i havent decided whether or not to strip them yet :)

 

I did manage to get the Company out for a few terrible photos though...
