"What's this then, eh? A lost company of strays, fallen far from warmth of mighty Russ? Well, we know the cold and dark of the void better than most,
little wolves. Even your Allfather has no mercy for you here. Let us welcome you as fellow monsters should."

- Exalted Terror-Master Ichabod of the 24th Company, VIIIth Legion,

at the Finding of the Lost Wolves of the 49th

Jarl Leif Folkvangr,
Wolf Lord of the 49th Company of the Vlka Fenryka

"We have become the very monsters we sought to exterminate from this galaxy, my brothers. Let our shared curse come forth, and revel in the bloodlust it has given you. Let our brothers of the Eighth be our violent guides. Mercy no longer has a place among us."

- Jarl Leif, at the Joining of the 24th and 49th companies of the VIII and VIth legions

- Fenrisian War Chant "Völuspá", composed by Remembrancer Aela the Skald, performed for the brothers of the 8th Legion, 24th company at the  event known as 'The Joining.'

"He has fallen hard, my kin. He revels in this distasteful bloodshed of innocents, of compliant citizens of the our fledgling empire, in the heinous acts the Lords of the Night have taught him. He sullies the entire company's honour. Our oaths may bind us to his guardianship and guidance, however his redemption will not come about by our inaction."

 - Thane Arngeir Whitemane, Commander of the Wolf Guard of the 49th Company, VIth Legion

"This ridiculously named 'Curse' that the Wolves have spoken of is no more than a simple genetic flaw, placed there for the same reason any other mutation in any other Legion's gene-seed was: Weaponization of the post-human form.
Would the Angels of Baal be so ferocious if not for this? Or the Eaters of Worlds so utterly destructive?
The Fenrisians have even done away with the position of Apothecary within their Legion, replacing them with, a term that disgusts my Nostraman tongue as much as my intellect as a surgeon, Wolf Priests. It is remarkable that such practices are tolerated by the Lords of Terra, even by The Emperor himself, especially in a Legion regarded in such high esteem.  With such barbarism so rampant throughout the sixth legion it is no wonder that the young Lord Folkvangr was so easily swayed.

Stimulation of the genetic flaw, this 'Canis Helix', in the Vlyka Fenryka is a relatively simple procedure, for what else could it be other than violence. The warriors under my personal care have shown promising results, eschewing their traditional strategies in battle, forgoing even their full battle plate in favour of closing with their foe more quickly. The pict-captures recorded by legion probes show have shown incredible displays of blood letting during battle. They may even outpace our own Legion's infamous Terror Squads in their brutality."

Note: Warriors of this unit are considered unstable, due to experimentation by VIIIth Legion apothecaries. While their original designation of Seeker Squadron still stands in Legion records, they can be considered little more than berserkers now. Much of the
power armour of these warriors has been damaged beyond repair, resulting in their somewhat 'feral' appearance. Legion serfs and artificers are advised to approach with caution.

Crisp and sharps 6th legionaries, may I ask where the panaches are from ?

They are from the Ellyrion Reavers from the Island of Blood/Spire of Dawn set for Age of Sigmar. They were  inspired   shamelessly stolen from the ludicrously talented Arthrawes and his Thousand Sons army, which can be found here

Haha I'm glad, just thought it was one of the more interesting revelations from Inferno: In the beginning the VIth was brutal and uncontrolled, very much like WE now, while the Warhounds were nuanced and restrained within their destruction, but it all reversed when they found their Primarchs.
