I, Lemainus, pledge a Greater Daemon of Malal (in two parts) for this month's challenge:  Burzafrah Adil, "Exalted By God, Judge of Men"

 

   Built in measureless eons behind Ages long past, the lost city twists in and around itself in broken fractals - loathsome architecture forged from the sadness of dead stars. Scaled hands had hewn the stone to lay the foundation of this place long ago, though it had been ruled over in the millions of lifetimes between now and then by men and monster long since forgotten, long since laid to rest, histories abandoned. 

 

  Over the mountains of crystal ash, through the Crucible of Strife, beyond the Fields of Unmaking and the Dead Forest, and it's mistwalking Huntsman... Through the Cathedral of Malice and her infinite truths, vulgar revelations and lips sealed with cursed wax, all paths in the Twilight converge upon the coliseum. Pilgrims enter, if they live long enough, and stand on a battlground of glassed sand and bloodied stone gravel.

 

 

  Corpses, trinkets, hewn armor, tabards, iconography, all testaments to the broken souls that have never made it past the Champion of Malice that haunts this place - ripped from the clutches of Khorne and shown The Truth so long ago that the world he hailed from has entirely ceased to be. So long ago that Malal herself was awake.

 

  The coliseum is walled high, gated with wards and wyrd markings, runes of no known origin. Not to keep mortals out - but to keep them from fleeing their fate after casting their lot in trial by combat. There be only twelve grand seats in the entirety of the construction - no massive crowds assemble here, no cheering masses encourage their favorites. The Yazad, Chosen Angels of Malice, alone, are the spectators here. Though, in the empty stands, floating eyes burn with the fury of familiar purple warpfire. Thousands upon thousands of eyes. Watching nothing. Waiting for the next challengers to step into the ring of sand and blood.

But let’s cover the results of this month; but first let me explain what the plan for this month.. Monster Mash", Let's paint something with over 15 wounds. Now Just a reminder that this is an optional theme! And also I may go back and award this one to past months if someone has completed one of these big monsters

Uverons Update!

So I have been sucked into a AOS shaped hole. Turns out that I was sitting on a Blades of Khorne army in my bits box. (Thanks to my discards for my Renegades and Heretics). But Painting 40 Barbarians have eaten most of my painting time.

But I have completed my vow of 10 poxwalkers, and I will for the next month Vow to compete another 10 poxwalkers.. to give me a slimy break between my bloody Barbarians.

Those are some of the best poxwalkers I've seen. Not too over the top, but still suitably disgusting (in a good way). I particularly like how the color scheme basically matches pre-Heresy Deathguard.

Soooo.... the last few sets of pics I've tried to upload to the bnc gallery have been 'too big' to upload.

I just got a new iPhone and was uploading fine with one with higher mp camera so I'm at a loss right now and a lil frustrated as I've had a lot of progress that I'm unable to share.

Will try the imgur thing again

Basicly its Nurgling Green, highlighted with Kislev Flesh,  Pallid Wych Flesh with a flesh wash. Pouches and done with Browns and greys, Tentacles are done with just 

Bestigor Flesh and then Kisleve flesh. The Plague Boils done with Elysian Green and then some Yriel Yellow highlights. Hit the whole thing with Earthshade wash, and then add Nurgles rot to flavor.

  Check your photo quality settings. I know for me, personally, the default setting on my phone camera was an enormous 12MP, which consistently churned out photos that were 15, 20MB in size - many, many times larger than the standard allowed by the B&C uploader. Adjusting the size/quality settings on your camera app should solve this issue, as it has done for me!

 

  You can also email the photos to yourself, bring them up in photo editors, and shrink them by % using (if I remember right) CTRL+W. Save the newly smallified versions and upload those instead.

It sucks not to finish last month's vow. I got the Intercessors done and will post them up, but the damnable Apothecary needs to be stripped. It just looked awful.

Here's my vow for this month:

1 Primaris Ancient

1 Primaris Lieutenent

5 Helblasters

Hopefully can get these wrapped up quickly and do a Repulsor, but let's see.

Uveron, you say a model with over 15 wounds, does that have to be a monster? Would a vehicle be acceptable?

I certainly hope so because that means I can pledge the land raider crusader I've been longing to build

So my Repulsor at the start of the pledge, had it base coated yellow and built. The turret was quartered already as I wasn't planning on using it for this months pledge.

 

As you can see the initial spraying went well however I then sprayed it with some Anti Shine Varnish before I done any more work on it, a moment of total stupidity, and now it is rather cloudy as you can see. Quite a few suggestions on Instagram on how to fix so will try them out. If not then it will be a rather heavily damaged Repulsor.
