First Gravis captain I've actually liked (not a fan of the miniature) - what have you done besides the  new head?

Most of that model is actually FW's own Asterion Moloc...

Btw Idomeneus, the end result is a fantastic, seamless conversion!

Which is why it' actually looks good. Just the arms and pack from the Gravis Cap as far as I can tell.

Finally got some paint on my captain today, definitely not finished but would live some c&c

Those colors look great on your Captain. I think the legs should be extended to improve his proportions, but that's a common problem with Games Workshop's products, and not your fault.

Excellent.

Where did you get the half tabards?

What next?

Thank you, really enjoyed painting painting them!

They are from spellcrow

Still need to paint the rest of Dark Imperium....

Wulfen: Now that's a brilliant idea...Hmm....

I like how they look like the original wolfen from the eye of terror campaign era. More power armour, just wolfy enough to be meta human or abhuman without looking like loyalist chaos possessed...

Yup, less furry, more crazed berserker. It is actually the first wulfen i like. Gread job Kalamadea.

And here is my one finished primaris. Photos are bad, but i will try to take some better.

Was going for the dirty battlefield look.

Apologies for the iffy photo, i grabbed it on my phone during a game today, but this is the first of my Primaris Rainbow Warriorsgallery_80801_13403_60255.jpg

+1

There is no greater Ancient in 40K than a Rainbow Warriors Ancient.

<stands and applauds>

Got some more done up today. For now these guys are just a counts-as chaos (mark of khorne) killteam for Shadow War Armageddon. I ordered some resin Arcadian guardsmen from Victorai Miniatures to represent the "cultists", Wulfen will be a "chaos Spawn" special operative. They'll eventually replace most of my actual wolves too, probably as counts-as truescale grey Hunters and Blood Claws, at least for the time being. We'll se what 8th ed brings to SM and to SW especally as time goes on.

Easier than I feared, I thought I'd have to completely rebuild/resculpt the ammo belt. Had to carve out quite a bit of the Hbolters handle/trigger since the Primaris arms are much longer and also carve out a bit of the ammo belt inside where it was hitting the model's right knee, but was able to bend the plastic ammo belt around enough that it fit. The joins aren't perfect, there's an especially ugly join at the bottom where it snapped and had to be reglued which I'll hide that with a grass tuft, but nothing you'll notice out on the tabletop. Overall it's been a lot of fun to work with the Primaris conversions
