Thank you for the likes, Brothers. :) Here's two more I managed to finish:

I'm putting together the Sergeant right now. Soon I'll be able to field them. :)

@Guiltysparc, my leather recipe is Mournfang Brown, heavy wash of Agrax Earthshade, and Skrag Brown edge highlight. Simple and works fine I guess. ;)

I'll bite, my first unit of Angels Revenant.

I figure after being blown up by Necrons these guys might benefit from the Primaris program.

So many of these entries are fantastic, but if we ever cross paths in real life, I'll try to recreate my forum-unfriendly reaction and the new swear words I invented, just so you can get an idea as to the depths of my admiration.

Handsome devil.

There are some wonderfully painted models here but I've just been struck by how ENORMOUS the grav is captain's boots are.

Space clown boots, anyone?

They are built for stomping the heads of heretics. :tongue.:

Thanks for looking :)

A lot of the Captains look like dwarfs, their hip joints higher on their torso than is normal for the human body, their legs looking stubby as a direct consequence. Is this due to the camera angles, or are the models that poorly proportioned?

Thanks Reyner!

Bjorn it's the camera angles that give off that effect I think, they look pretty well proportioned in real life. Still, not a fan of the almost protruding stomach though but maybe a bit of filing and a greenstuff tabard would sort it out :)

VII Legion, Roma Division

I should probably explain myself first.

The Imperium of Man is at a pivotal point in its history. A lot of the updated story line evokes imagery and ideas reminiscent of the Unification Wars and the emerging Great Crusades.

When the Primaris came out, I didn't see them suddenly turning into Black Templars and joining my crusade. I did see them being offered as attached forces to ongoing efforts and to that effect, it seemed to me that one way to build bridges for these forces would be to get back to the Imperial Fists and Black Templars roots.

So after a little research, I wanted my first squad to emulate early historical imagery of the Seventh to the Templars as if they were saying, "We are all sons of Dorn."

This is the image that really grabbed me...

...which turned into my attempts to model that with the Primaris.

Now the "Roma" bit came out as I was doing research. It turns out that "Roma" is an honorific and so once again, I wanted the Primaris to represent something special from the past that ties with the future.

<I'm not happy with the eyes, so will have to go back over therm>

Cheers,

Lancshotspot... I don't understand the shoulder pad heraldry choice for the helblasters... isn't that the chaplain scheme?

Yeah it is but this is also the scheme given for heavy support in the small primaris book that comes with the starter set

It looks really good!

Your edge highlights are also super crisp.
