Kierdale
Thanks! I got the 60x60x60cm Lomtap light box. It has LEDs inside and you can adjust the brightness. Certainly makes models look better :D Though it also shows up dust so much! Kierdale
WIP on runtherd Wortthug Zodgob with his kustom grotprod and megaphone, and Painboy Wazskar Grubgor with his syringe squig. I pulled out these classic paints to make use of. MithrilForge
Wow!, I’m surprised they aren’t rock hard !!, that guy looks like papa smurf (I mean that in the nicest possible way ) and the syringe squig is sooooo cute >.< he’s a bit of a Womble too ;-) These are going to look splendid when they’re done !! Cheers Mithril +++EDIT+++ lol I just realised the grabber is necron legs with Necron weapon blades on them .. so cool Edited February 17, 2021 by mithrilforge Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336550-waaargh-grimsnaga-smasha-squig/page/7/#findComment-5668205 Share on other sites
Kierdale
Thanks! The paints are smooooooth. No problem. To be honest I do t think I used those two much as a yoof, so they were okay. Yes, I redid the grot prod as I had done with a skull but went off the idea and decided to use a bit of the enemy ;) Today’s lunchhammer: Tiger skin top for the doc (I might do zebra for the runtherd), trouser decoration and started on the shoulder pads. Yellow one will have a snake on it, then be weathered. And got the runtherd’s beard and hair basecoated. More or less Smurfy?? :D The blue/green needs highlighting. MithrilForge
Haha very nice, love the tiger stripes and the pants trim is cool, papa Smurf’s coming along ;-) Cant wait to see the zebra stripes if the tiger ones are anything to go by !!! Kierdale
Thanks. The runtherd is done. I’ll get out the light box and get some good photos soon. Kierdale
Wortthug Zodgob (fungus-guard, blue-mouth), runtherd of Waaaargh Grimsnaga, is complete! With his megaphone (glyphs ‘unki’ and ‘bark’ on it for ‘big voice’) and his kustom grotprod. His backplate marks him as belonging to the same family as Grimsnaga himself. Grotprod made from bitz of a skellibot. Painted a (Mario-esque) mushroom on the metal skull on his chest. MithrilForge
Awesome work , although the Mushroom on his chest is from some other dark shady past when he was a Smurf herder ... well done and i can't wait to see the finished Bowel Burna, it's looking really good too Cheers, Mithril Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336550-waaargh-grimsnaga-smasha-squig/page/7/#findComment-5671062 Share on other sites

MithrilForge
Nice hood ornament... LunchHammer...i used to paint in an empty room during lunch at work but the manager didn't like it so i got told to stop . i'm glad other people can "LunchHammer" Cheers, Mithril Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336550-waaargh-grimsnaga-smasha-squig/page/7/#findComment-5672699 Share on other sites
Kierdale
Thanks. Sorry you had to stop your lunchhammer. I’ve been doing it for about seven years now. At first people wondered what the heck I was doing, now they either don’t mind or they show interest. Always careful not to use smelly glue or paints though. ;) The doc got as-clean-a-cloth-as-he-could-find for doing operations on. And WIP on the bowelburna. Just a few details to do, then base it...and make a plug-in flame. Kierdale
Thanks! By all means take ideas. That’s why we do this :) Doc’s got a White Scars flag, and the bowelburna has a Space Wolf flag over the...sunroof? :D The ‘burna is nearly finished. Just the grot pumper and I added a ram made from I-beam girders - as the model should have one and I felt it needed something extending beyond the skull. And I have started on its base. Evil Eye
Gotta love some banner disrespect on a model! And the Bowelburna looks amazing, loving the grot hanging off the back (stirring the slop in the drum?)! Kierdale
Thanks! Actually the grot is pumping fuel from the drum can he’s stood on. There’s a jerrycan lying on the next drum, which -without a cap- is pouring fuel all over his foot :D I finished painting the Bowelburna and am doing the base today. I’ll get the light box out and take photos this weekend. The finish the doc. :tu: Evil Eye 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336550-waaargh-grimsnaga-smasha-squig/page/7/#findComment-5674543 Share on other sites

Looks suitably ramshackle and orky whilst still being oddly aesthetically pleasing. Kierdale
I had the light box out again so here is Zodgob and some of his prized grots: And, but for the flames which I’m painting now, the bowelburna is complete! I’m well please with it! :D The skull of some big beastie, with holes where they killed it using the rivet kannon, and ram i quickly made from girders. Trophy flag from a past battle. As I had truncated the exhausts I wanted to add something there instead and strangely jaw bones fit perfectly. Here’s Pumpy And the gunner, slapping the fire button with a grenade. Shoulder armour made of old tire, inspired by Mad Max and Simon Phoenix. Must add more of this through the army. Kierdale
Thanks! I’ve almost finished doc Wazskar Grubgor too, but need to paint his hair (both on his head and hanging from his back pole). Any suggestions for colours? I feel there’s enough red on him already. The runtherd has blue hair so that’s out. Hmmm....his vest is tiger skin so I don’t want to do orange....black??
