I'd love to see something like this (some doubt one the point prices)

I'd love to see something like this:

What would that look like? (Hoping you've made one to show off!)

Sadly no, I'm still working on paper on the aesthetic. I can tell you that it would be a walker similar in dimension to a Dreadknight or a Riptide but with a great jet-pack on the back and long slender arms and legs (these ones would be similar to the Irostrider's ones).

Sounds like you want to play Imperial Tau/GK dreadknights with that Purifier Engine.

It needs to lose AoF from being a vehicle and the 2+ should be a 3+, because that thing with celestine next to it will have a 2+5++. aye, you'd never take penitent engines or seraphim again, just these things and dominions and celestine.

...But that's all just my opinion.

Yeah, only really heavy vehicles like the Land Raider have a 2+, and since I'm assuming this is a scaled up PE, I don't think it makes sense to have more than a 3+. I might even give it a 4+, like the normal PE. I agree that vehicles don't seem to get AoF, so it probably shouldn't have that. The weapons seem pretty thematic, I think.

And the W stat seems a bit high, I mean, what other walkers even have that many wounds? I suppose maybe there is precedent, but when a Dreadnought only has 8, and a full Rhino chassis has 11, 12 seems like a lot.

Personally, I don't even like PEs that much, so I'm not overly excited about a scaled up version of one (I like to play pure Sisters as in only models that are actually part of the Adepta Sororitas, and then maybe a priest or 2), but that's just me.

Oh, and if it's going to be this bulky, how can we justify it having deep strike? Seems a bit over the top, for my tastes.

Of course, it's your homebrew, and this is all just my opinion.

Personally I'd like to see something done with the Celestian squad to give us a good armoured melee option without going for something that isn't sisters.
Another tank pattern would be good, something anti tank in it's own role.
I like the idea of a Cavalry option of some kind, either bikes or robot horse or anti grav. Though we don't really need another fast attack choice.... I would just like more of a range in models.
A flyer would be nice as well, though personally I hate the idea of flyers in normal 40k..... we're playing on a god damn 6x4 people.....

Besides that, just plastics, flavourful order tactics, a physical codex of all our own (or Witch Hunters style again) and some good fluff.

Giving Celestians the Sarissa back might be nice. Re-rolls to wound? Maybe re-rolls of 1 to wound? That'd stack nicely with the Canoness, too.

Or maybe the option to swap bolters for chainswords (or bolt pistols for chainswords) to give them 3A each total?

A Rhino that has a hunter-killer rack on it perhaps? Like a sort of cut-price anti-tank version of the Manticore?

Horses and bikes are silly and really only have any place in action movies as a "serious" part of a modern armed conflict. Since 40K qualifies as more action movie than military simulation and the game was developed in a time when biker gangs were considered really cool, I'm willing to run with it. Also the SoB aren't really an army big on practicality.

I'm kind of hoping they will also do female priests too so you have the option of going all women.

I guess you didn't know, then, that the United States still maintains a cavalry division that has seen combat as recently as 2016 in Afghanistan. :whistling:

The US military also has a billion dollar tank parking lot in Ohio and spent "colonise the moon" money on a plane no one can build.

Going back to the Rhino with hunter-killer rack idea:

Can take 4, 6, or 8 HKMs. Fires two at a time. Transport up to 6 <Order> <Infantry> models.

As for fast attack, perhaps Seraphim who all have chainswords and bolt pistols. Up to two Seraphim can exchange their bolt pistol for an inferno pistol or hand flamer. Superior gets a power sword as standard and has the option to swap for an Eviscerator, can also swap her bolt pistol for a plasma pistol or inferno pistol.

I mean, I see the pistols as part of the Seraphim's identity, but . . . yeah I'm kinda liking the valkyrie idea. As long as you call the Seraphim still. Since they're supposed to be trained in the same combat techniques the Sisters on San Leor used, and San Leor was kinda a backwater agri-world, I could see them using more "primitive" feeling weapons I suppose.

A similar thing appears here too. A recoloured version of this piece is at the start of the Adeptus Ministorum section of the Index.

It doesn't even require any serious rules writing, either - literally just optional wargear entries in the Seraphim Datasheet:

The unit may exchange its bolt pistols for power spears and storm shields.
The unit may exchange one bolt pistol per model for chainswords.

Sorted. I'd also like to see all Sister Superiors getting access to Eviscerators.

Going back to the Rhino with hunter-killer rack idea:

Can take 4, 6, or 8 HKMs. Fires two at a time. Transport up to 6 <Order> <Infantry> models.

Interesting idea. Can it fire the hunter-killer missiles at two different targets at once? Or must those two missiles be launched toward the same target, due to limitations in its sensors and targeting systems?
