I may be in the running for most units at 4 and two vows completed, But I think Blackwood trumps me just for the number of models painted. (although technically I did paint an LRC AND an LRR...

 

Some better resolution pics, now I'm not pushed for time, I've put one type of weapon on each side for the pic, the hull is fully magnetised with swappable weapons, movable sponsons the antenna is magnetized on to stop it snapping and I even managed to hinge the side doors so they open and close! (ish...)

Anywho, as for my vote on Marshal Elect, for me it's Kisada.

To be honest, you need not worry about your painting skills. As you can see there is quite a broad range of skills and painting techniques on display here. Some of us have for instance bothered with painting the inside of vehicles which - in fairness - is a ludicrously pointless endeavour. Some have made conversions, where others have used vanilla models. Some have used upgrade kits or specific decals. It's not about skills, it's about spirit.

 

If it's painted black, has a dash of red and/or white and some Maltese crosses, you're good to god.

It was a tough choice, there is so much skill and talent in this community. I had to think long and hard on who to vote!

 

My vote goes to Aegir_Einarsson. His Crusaders had dynamic poses fitting for Black Templars and I love his Land Raider Crusader which tells a story all by itself. The weathering is awesome and you really get the sense that they've tried their best to preserve it against the ravages of entropy and the warp. Well done!

In regards to Aegir's work, I can't find a submission for his second Vow's completion.  Incomplete Vows are a disqualification, even if previous Vows were completed.

 

"No matter the number of vows completed, if you have an incomplete vow at the end of the event, you fail.  A Crusade cannot be waged on good intentions and empty promises!"

 

This includes disqualification from voting, as only successful participants may vote, as well as eligibility for Marshal Elect.

Yes that's Right i have my razorback completed but inquisitor is not.

 

But someone mentioned earlier in one of the posts above that transport is mandatory but unit not.... :)

And Thanks firepower for This event. I've made more that for two years. The motivation was huge And i'm very happy even If i failed.

my second vow was completed but not recorded as such. 

My third vow was never posted to the front page so I assumed that the ruling was that I was not going to be able to enter it

I've gone back to find the pics and updated the Vow.  

 

Remember folks, voting for Marshal Elect closes tomorrow night.  The award ceremony will take place then.  Assuming I can still see clearly after my optometrist appointment in the afternoon :P

Alright, time for awards!

 

Firstly, congratulations to all of you whom finished your Vows!  You've done the Chapter, and me, proud.  Completions total nearly 73% of all Vows submitted, a fine showing for any event.  There are some truly excellent pieces in the second Knightfall Crusade, but what truly matters is that you've all dedicated your own forces, whatever the quality, to the Eternal Crusade.  There are stand out victors, but all of our victorious brothers are deserving of accolades!

 

+++Now then, on to our Champions!+++

 

For most units completed, we have ourselves a tie!

 

Brother Adelard, Lord Blackwood, both of you completed a total of 4 units.  Your dedication to the Crusade is unquestionable, and you may both wear the badge of Champion with pride!

 

For my personal Champion, as many of you can wager, it is not an easy decision.

 

Ciler, your Raven is very clean, and I'm always a sucker for purple power weapons.

 

Marshal_von_Spear, I adore your Raven.  Putting in the extra effort for a conversion, not to mention the basing, on top of the excellent weathering earns you special notice.

 

But as our voting for a Marshal Elect demonstrates aptly, the choice came down to Kisada and TheOneTrueZon.

 

Zon, as per usual, went above and beyond in elaborate decals, but also put a good deal of work into customizing the Land Raider chassis itself.  Truly what I would expect from last year's Champion!

 

Meanwhile, Kisada's entry was an exercise in subtlety.  Careful applications of highlights and a touch of OSL are great skills, and not easily mastered.  Likewise, there was a visibly generous deal of thought put into the execution of the Marshal.  

 

But ultimately, my Artisan Champion of Knightfall 2017 is...Kisada!  

 

Demonstrating skill both large and small by including a superb infantry unit with the tank put you over the top for me.  You made the most of the new Knightfall rules in entering one of each, and performing excellently in both regards.

 

I was close to being put in an awkward bind with Marshal Elect.  It was a close run, and I wasn't entirely sure what I'd do in case of a tie.  Probably a duel to the death, but then we'd all miss out on another Knightfall entry in 2018 no matter who won!

 

But lucky for me, we have a victor: Zon!  A well deserved accolade, with an entry truly due its recognition by our brothers.

 

So, for you lazy buggers who need a tl;dr version, obnoxious red text and all-
