Yeah, me and ADB are pretty much best friends. I made him matching bracelets with our names on it and everything. He even sent me a nice letter back that said 'Restraining Order' so I think that means he liked it so much he couldn't restrain his happiness.

I posted this on another forum, hopefully I may be blessed with an answer :tongue.:

In Talon of Horus we have a scene where Sigismund is sat on a bronze throne speaking with Abby. Does Sigismund have a beard during this? Everytime I listen to that scene I have this image in my head. I want to create an art piece for this scene but want to know if I should do Siggy with a beard :biggrin.:

I just had to listen to the scene before replying... i would like to think he does not have a beard, though the pic of Conan you posted is truly awesome! He is described as being ancient yet vital, relentlessly hunting Abbadon and always knowing that like a bad smell he would come back. I think he is still a razor sharp blade, as deadly as always and wouldn't let himself go as a mortal would. As epic as Conan looks the beard makes you think "old man", all fur coat and no knickers. It probably doesn't help that Jonathan Keeble really does make him sound old during that scene.

It would be great to see your artwork on this though, please post when you can... one small request if i may? Can you portray Sigismund standing victorious, head bow'd over Addadons bisected corpse; the hoards of chaos / Black Legion moments away from enacting vengeance? After all who knows, maybe the galaxy's most OP bad guy did fall and only thanks to someone like Fabius did he return... :happy.:

Yes, my Windows background is the cover for The Master of Mankind. No, I'm not allowed to show you it yet.

I can't believe you cut my replies.

I was going to delete that joke because, well, I hear it 800,000 times a week and any humour within it was long ago milked dry by repetition on /tg/ over a decade and the fact it's endlessly perpetuated by people that chronically misunderstand the character, but I decided to keep it because there is, somewhere, a shred of joy within my soul.

Christ, I'm bored of that joke, though.

It was hard enough blanking out that one guy's name once (well, not really.) I'm not doing it.

...

...fine. But only because you're my favorite author*, y'hear? That's the only reason.

*Favorite living author, I should clarify. Except maybe Jim Butcher. And possibly Dan Abnett (The Silent Stars Go By is still one of my favorite Doctor Who stories ever, in any medium. Ah, majestic. And then there's all that 40k stuff that everyone seems to like of his, or something? I dunno.) But besides those two, you're my favorite living author. Except for...

Better?

And I was given to understand that the old "Armless" meme was based on the model, not the supposed inadequacies of the character. A separate and altogether intellectually superior comedic entity that has needlessly been conflated in the public eye with the second, that of "Failbaddon," an altogether disgusting mistake, and one that it is our duty to correct.

That's my view anyways.

Also, tell Roomsky to post that picture of his. I need to like it again here.

Yay! I'm good with computers! I can CTRL+C and CTRL+V! Seriously. It's a lot of work. I don't quite think you people understand how bad I am with electronics. If I touch it, it will break. Actually, that applies to everything I touch. Hmmm....

Ten thousand years is damn long. And Warp time distortion can turn that into near eternity. I like the mythological touch. Almost trapped for an eternity in hell, surviving it, transcending this condition with one focus : returning with a revenge.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Aaron, but I have the feeling you're not involved at all in the recent fluff developments of the 13th Black Crusade, Abaddon and co.

It's fine, but I thought it was great you had some influence on the background in the Black Legion supplement.

It seems recent fluff developments of the 13th Black Crusade, Abaddon and co are going a little of the rails, based on Khârn prelude, Traitors Hand, Warzone Fenris etc. Instead of good old lore of the 13th Black Crusade we now have a very childish stories of something more for kids then our own 'old' club

Very little involvement in the Black Legion supplement, beyond "The fandom thinks all of the Black Crusades were defeats, we need to phrase them better" and some brief requests for edits. That was all the time frame allowed. They asked me to write it originally, but the timing didn't line up, which is a shame. But there's also the knowledge that, well, the series will (I hope?) span years and years of real time. Stuff that was written for, say, Black Crusade X in that supplement may not be how it plays out in the novel series, if the books even deal with it. (Besides, there's lots to do with the Black Legion beyond Black Crusades, etc.)

As for the new stuff, nope, not involved. But that's kind of a good thing, really - it's largely irrelevant to the Black Legion series, and goes to hammer home the point that, well, there's really no huge change the way the "End Times" folks are saying. The 13th Black Crusade and the Crimson Path have always been spilling out into the galaxy, and the only real change is knowing a bit more of the details.

Nothing that happens in the future re: the lore is anything Khayon needs to comment on, really. He's always said Abaddon is on his way to Terra. Nothing's changed. That said, I'm all for including anything that strikes me as rad story fodder.
