Dagoth Ur
@MrBear: Thanks mate, glad you like the colour scheme! @Chaplain Dosjetka: Glad you like it mate! Also, thanks you two for affirming my choice, as I was quite unsure hot to go about the tabards :) @GreyRavenC: Thanks mate, glad you like the writing. It feels very nice to apply myself to a new chapter. I'll probably also do a Fire Hawks Reborn chapter at some point :) Alright, some more WiPs! This time you'll have a look at how an Emperor's Reaver looks like after weathering has been applied! As you'll see, the armour is basically finished, only some blacklining is left to do. After that, I'll move on to the tabard, the bolter and the small details left. That's all for today folks. Hope you liked the small update! C&C is, as always, much appreciated and welcome! Sagentus
The colour scheme here is great, really like how the purple and green hughes blend together. Awesome work all round! Dagoth Ur
Reborn Entry 23: It was sometime during m38, the exact date being lost to the general Imperial scriveners, that the chapter of the Emperor's Reavers had been embroiled in a war against the traitorious Iron Warriors. Their chapter, otherwise known for its tenacity and uncompromising brutality against the traitors, much to the pride of their mentor-chapter the Red Talons, was faced against overwhelming odds and with little military reinforcement. The conflict would go down in Imperial History as the Inomean Massacre and still fills the chapter with great shame, not only for losing almost two thirds of their battle-brothers, but also for losing the twin worlds of Inom-Primus and Inom-Secundus, worlds they had sworn to protect centuries prior. (...) Entry 24: However, following the conflict the Emperor's Reavers, one of the more secular chapters known to the Imperium, seemed to foster an even greater distaste for the Ecclesiarchy and the Sisterhood of Battle. According to them, the Church of Him who sits upon the Throne had promised to send reinforcements in the shape of three orders and, most importantly, is in the possession of signed documents that attest this. None had ever come to their aid. The Ecclesiarchy and the orders involved, their names omitted here for sake of posterity, maintain that no such oath had ever been given and that such a thing would have been unlikely in the extreme, seeing as the chapter holds little of the church and does not even maintain a cadre of chaplaincy, instead rather opting for a cadre of disciplinary officers lead by respective masters of lashes. The conflict of truths is so dire, that the orders and the representatives of the church within the segmentum swear that none of the signed individuals had ever maintained positions of authority within their respective organizations. Whatever the truth may be, it is very clear that the chapter has barred its doors to the sisterhood and the church, proclaiming them both to be unwelcome on Polybius. (...) Entry 25: Following the Inomean Massacre, the Emperor's Reavers had not requested a return of their gene-seed tithe, as would be usual for a chapter in such horrendous shape, but has instead decided to open its own vaults and utilize their stored gene-seed. This storage must have been quite copious, as within fifty years the chapter had almost fully replenished its losses. It is this that has prompted several inquisitorial inquiries into their genetic material, but each request for a sample of gene-seeds outside of regular tithes has been, thus far, denied and will be denied until funded accusations can be leveled. (...) Entry 26: This has prompted us, members of the Ordo Astartes and Ordo Hereticus who shall remain unnamed, to spirit away four fallen battle-brothers of the Emperor's Reavers from various battlefields in m39 and m40, and the results have been quite puzzling. While the received tithes are all of expected purity and uniformly derived from the stock of the Iron Hands, via the Red Talons that is, the stolen gene-seeds paint a surprisingly different picture. Battle-Brother Dragan possesses genetic indicators and markers belonging to the Excommunicated VIIIth legion, Brother-Sergeant Bozhan's blood-line bears traces of the Lion within itself, and the remaining two brothers, too disfigured to be properly identified, have been identified as scions of the IVth legion. What is curious however, is that all these genic samples are devoid of markers typical for inductees of the respective Primarch's homeworlds; no traces of Calibanite, Olympian or Nostraman gene material can be found imprinted upon the samples, and so it is surmised that the seed has matured in Terran flesh. (...) Entry 27: It is unclear what to do now. Imperial doctrine dictates that such findings can only be followed by one thing and one thing alone: extermination. However, the Emperor's Reavers are not the first chapter to be discovered with unreputable, even chimeric blood in its veins; the inquisition has reason to believe that this could be the case with the Marines Malevolents, Minotaurs, Red Scorpions and even the elusive Carcharodons Astra too. Our means of analysis are limited, so the results could very well be inaccurate, and leveling accusations against the Adeptus Astartes is not a thing done lightly. It is also most troubling that the seal of the Sigillite protects their vaults and early history. This is authority that stands even above us.
