Polak
2 Polak: But 4, all fully manned?Well, thats Deathwatch after all, they fly in Corvuses Except for the poor primaris brethern :( But 4 fully manned corvuses is quite a lot of points, hence I thought you might run a couple unmanned as attack craft rather than transports. HorrOwl
I will be in future maybe, when/if Reivers will get SIA for example. Shooty KillTeams are armed with fragcannons /hammers so I have to get them as close as possible, hence the flyers( in 7th I planned to make 6 droppods as well but I didn't get them ready in time) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/2/#findComment-4937061 Share on other sites

Vel'Cona
Awesome full army shot! They really look like a compact force of determined veterans, and the Assassins are a great complement too. This is actually what I was picturing for my own DW until I got distracted by other shinies  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/2/#findComment-4942799 Share on other sites

HorrOwl
DW army continues to grow this time it will be Inceptors(Made them with different helmets to recognise): Squad 1: Squad 2: All together And a Terminator Librarian (with Beacon Angelis) Also, went to local one-day tournament. My army: DeathWatch Army : Batallion Detachment: HQ1:Watch Master(warlord, beacon angelis) - 130 pts HQ2: Librarian in TDA(+ Force Axe, Beacon Angelis) - 130 pts Troops1: KillTeam Veterans(+ 2 FragCannons, 3 СhainSwords) - 155 pts Troops2: KillTeam Veterans(+ 2 FragCannons, 3 СhainSwords) - 155 pts Troops3: KillTeam Veterans(+ 2 FragCannons, 3 СhainSwords) - 155 pts FA1: Primaris Inceptors(4x 2 Plasma exterminators) - 236 pts FA2: Primaris Inceptors(4x 2 Plasma exterminators) - 236 pts Air Wing Detachment: Flyer1: Corvus Blackstar( Twin Laser Cannon, 2 Stormstrike Launchers, Infernum Halo Launcher ) - 257 pts Flyer2: Corvus Blackstar( Twin Laser Cannon, 2 Stormstrike Launchers, Infernum Halo Launcher ) - 257 pts Flyer3: Corvus Blackstar( Twin Laser Cannon, 2 Stormstrike Launchers, Infernum Halo Launcher ) - 257 pts 7 CP Total :1998 1st game: Astra Militarum Deployed Corvuses far in the corner. in the first turn - disembark the WM, fllew planes close to LRs, drop the Inceptors and Libby(who teleported WM close to inceptors and planes to get reroll aura). Inceptors shot 2 LRs, Corvuses finish Pask and all is left to wipe the survivors. Lost all of the Inceptors and 1 Corvus in process thought 2nd game:Chaos All the same - Corvuses in far corner, then flew close drop all and shoot. this time wiped 2 predators and havoks , damage the knight(7 wounds). oblys came - wipe the inceptors and damage 1 corvus. Load up in the planes and fall back in skimmer mode trying to stay out of the range of oblys and finish off the last pred knight moves in - shoots the damaged corvus then gets blasted to the remaining 2 and fragcannons then planes slowly move forward trying to stay out of obly's and firing at them , followed by WM Won! 3rd game: March of Primarchs Well , DW managed to shoot Morty , but heralds and Magnus were too much lost. maybe should take Culexus next time. Thanatos31
THanks for the write up! Vel'Cona
Sounds like great games overall! Your army was in good company as far as painting is concerned; really impressed at the presentation of the armies you played against. My biggest gripe would be the double Primarch list, which I feel is somewhat dirty, but you seem to have taken it in stride. Great job representing the DW in either case! Prot
Very nice looking armies and you can't be disappointed with that result! I think there's going to be a massive shift away from changeling fueled primarchs shortly. HorrOwl
Thanks! I use mostly Deathwing Terminators/ Sternguard stormbolters because of their perfect fit Dark angels players usually make a Deathwing Knights from this kit so they dont really need stormbolters . Same for the Sternguard. HorrOwl
Not with the Deathwatch, since January my main army was Astra Miltarum. And now I'm preparing DW for the tournament in november ( 2250 pts) I plan to do a mini report about it like previous one Prot 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/2/#findComment-5161961 Share on other sites

Mr4Minutes
They are looking very pretty. I like the edge highlights. I’m needing to track down a ML or 2 myself for WYSIWYG. I tried 2 AT with a captain, and they did some work. Until GSC infiltrated in and tied them up. No screen=bad deployment. Vel'Cona
Is it really a WIP if they look amazing already? :P Great work on the bold highlights as always! I like the use of reds and yellows to create interest on each Dread without making them "same-ey". HorrOwl
2 Mr4Minutes & Bjorn Firewalker: Thanks! :) 2 Vel'Cona: They are mostly done but without bases, thus WiP Same for the Veterans above :) As for the bright colors( and contrast highlights) - I try to add them to make models stand out on the table. If they will be mostly black and silver -they will look rather dull imho.
