Duke Danse Macabre
Those eradicators are looking very nice, some serious anti armour right there. HorrOwl
It has been quite a long time.... With the release of a new edition of Kill team rules I decided finally to play it a bit. As it turned out - my kill team does not fit into them (gunners cannot take a powerswords not etc etc). So I made new veterans for an update Here they are: And the whole Kill team together So for now it consists of - 2 sergeants: An Ultramarine with combi melta and Flesh Tearer with stormshield and xenophase blade - 2 veterans with bolters and power swords (Black Templar and Red Talon) - 2 heavy gunners (Salamander with Infernus and Imperial Fist with fragcannon) - gunner with combimelta (Iron Hand) - Combat veteran with power sword and stormshield (Blackshield) Bjorn Firewalker, librisrouge, Smoke Frog and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/5/#findComment-5756843 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
The blue outlines on the Marines' armor, is a bit heavy, making them all look like Ultramarines in hastily painted and/or heavily worn armor. Fine works, nonetheless. You made genuine effort, and such efforts should always be respected Duke Danse Macabre and HorrOwl 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/5/#findComment-5756928 Share on other sites
Duke Danse Macabre
I agree, I think they look great, good popping colours, I love the effort you have made combining kits from Primaris to mk8 errant armour. My one point would be that the highlight on the black is fine being blue as that works for a shadow tone but the light which may just be in the picture as they have a way of showing you what your looking at right now looking totally different is too light which does in these pictures make them look like a very dark ultra marine. washing the armour down a single tone would fix this if it is an issue for you otherwise I think they look great. Smoke Frog
Great work, I like your additions! That marine on the far left is he a member of the Crimson Talons or some other chapter? HorrOwl
2 Bjorn Firewalker & Duke Dance Macabre The highlights were made using Fenris Grey and Fang just like on the rest miniatures here. I tried to photo them with maximum brightness just to show . with normal light it will look like this 2 Smoke Frog: It is Red Talon Edited October 27, 2021 by HorrOwl Duke Danse Macabre and Smoke Frog 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/5/#findComment-5757979 Share on other sites

HorrOwl
An apothecary is almost autochoice now so I made one myself and once a Blackshield came to Watch fortress He was Fabulous and full of Bile but his apothecary talents were undeniable how do you do, fellow loyalist? well, it is only official miniature of a Chief Apothecary anyway :D Spinsanity, Smoke Frog, Bjorn Firewalker and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/5/#findComment-5758734 Share on other sites

HorrOwl
While "classic" deathwatch army continues to play well ( thanks to army of renown). I have decided to make a full Primaris army, so I can field 2 different ( in models and in gameplay) deathwatch armies I have painted most of it: 2 indomitor killteams( 5 heavy intercessors and 5 eradicators with heavh meltarifles) and 2 fortis killteam( 5 intercessors and 5 hellblasters) So.. fortis killteam 1: fortis killteam 2: one killteam have classic marine helmets, other is in mark x only so it is easy to distinguish them on table indomitor killteam: and overall army look so far: infiltrators, eliminators , characters and redemptors will follow Edited February 13, 2022 by HorrOwl Smoke Frog 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341147-a-deathwatch-army-project/page/5/#findComment-5796050 Share on other sites
