thank you brother I've decided to darken them a little will post an update once I've finished painting the rest of the fabrics

 

 

so i saw these the other day and i'm a bit torn on if i should get them or not i really love the look of the top five but the fact they are hooded is a bit off putting i do have sword brothers and initiates with hooded helmets but I've tried to stop using them as they don't feel templar enough if that makes sense? these look amazing though..... what do you guys think about them?

Greetings Brothers a rather large update on my crusades progress today unfortunately i got distracted from painting my last few units and ended up building and painting some other units but i thought i'd post some more WiP photos for you. All C&C are welcome Brothers!

I had stopped working on these Dreads a while ago and kind of regret that as they are such fun to paint. the hazard stripes aren't perfect i know but its the best i can do free hand although i don't think it looks too bad. also i really enjoy using the badges from the land raider and rhino doors as Crusade badges wish i had done this on more of my models.

from a shop in the UK called Claire's have no idea if its in other countries its a cheap jewellery store for young girls but i get about 5 meters of chain for £8 which is awesome

yeah thats the one Brother! they normally have a 3 for 2 deal where i live so its great plus they have lots of different sized chain, its pretty decent quality too!

Today a daring raid was conducted into the den of pink, fluffy and obviously Slaanesh worshipping Claire and her 'accessories'. Fortunately I was assisted by the Cannoness who lives with me and we escaped with much blessed chain! A worthy tip brother!

 

What I hadn't anticipated of course was the Cannonness' unique form of revenge for taking her into this den of tat. In other news I now have much clearer pores...

Good to hear Brother I'm glad your raid was a success, I assume in time this will lead to a full crusade against Claire and her den of fluffy Heresy? I too know of the tithes that must be payed to cannoness' only in death does duty end Brother.

 

So a little later than I had hoped I have finally finished Chaplain Valentin and Castellan Matthias to a level i'm happy with. The bases haven't been done because I'm currently working on new ones as I've decided I don't like the overly orange rock from previous photos anymore I feel it's too bright and draws too much attention away from the model. Also sorry Brothers I tried to get the images in a spoiler tab but couldn't for the life of me get it to work so now I just have this ugly mass of photos sitting awkwardly..

Thank you! I keep trying to paint chaplain eyes red to look more menacing but every time I attempt it I think of Terry Pratchett's description of Death (grim reaper) and I just have to paint them blue.
