GM:

 

Mol, got my Squad Mode Sustained for 3 Cohesion - this is incorrect, it's actually free. So we have now 4-5 Cohesion (3 -1 From Damage if Sabaan does not pass Fellowship, +2 From both my fate points. How do you want to handle Thorvald's Turn?

Just as a heads up guys, I'm likely going to be a bit distracted this weekend, between Easter here in Canada and my mom undergoing heart surgery today, I'm not going to be spending a lot of time at the lap-top...

Sorry guys for being rubbish, but work flared up and there's a lot going on here - tomorrow is my birthday so I'm not sure how free I will be. On the other side of it, my easter holidays have begun so I should in theory be freer. I will try to update asap and apologies for being the cause of the delay.

Good news, my mom made it through and is looking good for recovery... still got family stuff with the kids this weekend, namely the Easter Egg hunt tomorrow, but come Monday I'll be back to my usual posting speed.

I'll try and be more active here this week and apologise for not being around much recently.

 

Starting Sunday, I'll be in South Korea for twelve days and most likely offline for >90% of that time. After that though, I'll have plenty of time to be the Watch-Sergeant you folks deserve. :tu:

Remember Dos, do not spit on the ground in South Korea, they'll toss you so hard into prison there for that...

Tactics / thoughts

 

Grenade throw is a half action and will trigger overwatch - might be worth using the other half action to bundle in (with the solo speed bonus if needed) so you start the next turn in melee range for multi-attack, counterattack, etc.

perhaps I'll do a second toss then :smile.:

 

Running the math, if that is one of his over-watch triggers

 

-20 BS from overwatch

-20 BS from puny target

+10 BS from half range

+20 BS from full auto

 

Base BS on Akkad: 42

 

This would leave him with a BS of 32, a 68% chance to miss the grenade...

 

The reason I'm less than interested in diving right in there, as both heavy weapons are in over watch mode, first person to go in, is going to burn their dodge against one of them, but is going to have to eat the second one, the odds are not in our favor. Better to eliminate one before going in.

Like the man says - be careful out there brother - on a side note a gentleman should only ever spit in two circumstances:

1. Before blowing a bugle

2. When impugning another man's honour.

 

Both things are Serious Business. :mellow.:
