Fiddled around with my last post to squeeze in some Ancient Sumerian :smile.:

Give those lazy guards a strong talking to Steel! Use fist! :biggrin.:

MR.

I'm thinking less talking, more tossing one over the edge with a bit of "Know your place mortal." tossed in for good measure:whistling: .

Place holder updated, Tyber has felt the wrath of the Novamarine a few times through acting independently, he'll play by the book for a little while before exercising his own initiative again.

Still I think Tyber would like to backhand one of them or toss one down to the moat, it's only a 50 foot drop after all... A mortal should be able to survive that.

Sorry guys been away for a few days I'll make an update this morning.

Hope the break was restorative, because there's some cats need herding in this here chimera Sarge! :p

Can't wait.

Done! The good old see what they say first and then lay into them - aka diplomacy!

Nice post good ser - diplomacy eh? (Sage nodding)

Let's see if we can avoid Tyber tossing them all into the moat to make a bridge? :biggrin.:

TBH though, am enjoying the bantering between the descendants of Angels.

Thanks MR, I'm trying to bring life to their (his chapter's) distrust of the Inquisition, while trying to keep step with the arrogance and pride they should have from being children of the First Legion. While at the same time, keeping in mind that Tyber is from a world where the chapter has direct control over every aspect of the lives of the people on their world, so Tyber would see mortals as unfit to rule other mortals. It is proving to be an interesting world and character building exercise, writing a completely different culture as if it were completely normal.

It's coming across well fella.

The aspect of mortals being unfit from that kind of worldview makes absolute sense.  It's not rare either - Chapters take stewardship a lot, even the Astral Claws have, albeit through an assertion of force in their case.  Essentially, when compared to a Marine, a mortal can't hope to command the experience, the ability to discern and absorb information and the Eidetic memory would come in handy as well.  It's a weird kind of benevolent (hopefully!) dictatorship and in the 40k universe, wholly necessary.

Although as freedom loving fellow myself I can see how that is jarring.  It makes for interesting perspective when you're writing in-grim-dark-universe as to how a planets' whole natural ecology and selection has been subverted to the purpose of creating 9 feet tall, genetically perverted slaughter merchants.

There's a good few character dynamics going on with Tyber, his youth, the big shoes to fill, 1st Legion amongst equals - he's found his place now, which is good but fresh challenges to his perspectives provide the opportunity for him to grow and get good character development, where with Akkad we get a SIADIA archetype, limited exploration, but damn you get to the bolter porn a lot faster.  With any luck he's not chewing the furniture enough to steal the best lines and hog all the limelight - and that is my only fear and weakness here, as I don't play, I might be too keen to lump everything into him and not leave it for someone else.

Speaking of which, Nine needs to stop working, live on beans for a week and get some of his sharp introspection in here! :biggrin.:

And Xin needs to take over Sabaan.  He sighs at you all much better than I do.

And more from Slips.  And AT.

I may be rambling and need sleep.

Hi all, just waiting for Reyner to post once more and then I will move the Kill-Team into the Estates. You might wish to consider whether you want to take the Chimera all the way to the manse, or to walk on foot; when the Kill-Team will split to travel to the Astropath, and any other admin you want to carry out before the Kill-Team moves. That will allow me to create a suitably detailed update.
