Borky
So I love the new Custodes Jetbikes and have just built my first one last night, but being completely honest the Custodes lance really puts me off. It got me too thinking of putting a Primaris marine on top, if possible and using them as counts as white scars jetbikes. My question really is would this work well if I fill another detachment with Primaris Scars, how well people think this army would work, and how hard the conversion would be in the first place? + Edited for tags and grammar + Edited February 11, 2018 by Borky Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344340-custodes-bikes-as-primaris-bikers/ Share on other sites
CCE1981
Check the Dark Angels subforum, someone converted a Custodes jetbike into a Talon Master and it looks great. I would say go for it! I am of the opinion that you can make them look like you want, as long as I can tell what it is supposed to be. (List experiments are an exception - shoebox for a land raider before you buy type of thing) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344340-custodes-bikes-as-primaris-bikers/#findComment-5010827 Share on other sites

Borky
I did see that conversion and I thought it looked fantastic! I did try working out lists and I’ll admit I found it difficult. I usually play power and the Custodes detachment would have been over half in my usual 100 power games. Also converting one jetbike is one thing, converting 10 could be a pain! It’s something I’m gonna keep in the back of my head though, we may get Primaris Jetbikes in the future! CCE1981
Look at making them a "specialist" and take three Shield Captains at 160 pts each (Hurricane bolters). This seems to be the most popular way to take them. Borky
Something I'd have to look at, I keep seeing mixed opinions on whether the bikes are better run as Shield-Captains or units of bikes. Thanks for all your suggestions though! Metzombie
My plan is to use them as landspeeders. Depending on weapon load you would need to do a bit more converting but they would fit better with the rest of the army. Borky
Originally the plan would have been to still use the Custodes rules, however every list I wrote ended up being one where the Primaris were supporting the Custodes then, and that didn’t feel right for some reason. I’m gonna try the conversion at some point, not too sure what to do about the top of the legs if I removed the ‘cloak’.
