It’d be a really ancient storm shield instead of an ion shield. I’m thinking a Stormcast shield would be the only thing big enough short of cutting down some plastic and letting the ion shield be the template.

That left arm isn’t glued in, only tacked into place. The right bicep is glued in but the hand and elbow are tacked on, I’m considering cutting the elbow and rotating it so the point of the blade faces back like the start of an arcing swing.

Worked on organizing a lot of bits for conversions and counting just how many Knights I’ve bought recently. Yikes.

Anyway I replaced the standard with a fancier looking one and added some antennae to my Seneschal - who really needs a name by the way. Also added a Deathwing knight mace head to a lance to see how it looked. I’ll probably dock the bottom and count it as a power sword for a member of the command banner.

I love those powerfists! Now I have to wait for that sprue to finish my Freeblade banner, I want an assassin style knight so he’ll get dual fists with wrist blades and a Melta, those are too perfect to pass up.

Love those fists. They seem much more detailed than the chainswords.

I'm not sure if I'll bother to make a knight army. If I do, I'll just get some of the new kit rather than the upgrades I think.

Lovely conversions!

From the Twitch stream: will be available in an upgrade blister (2 sprues) and also as part of a "new" boxset for the questoris

Thanks for sharing the pic! I’m a bit nonplussed about them putting 6 fists on there. I think I’d rather have had three fists and one of each existing shooting arm, preferably with gun shields oriented the opposite to existing ones to look better on the opposite arm. Not sure what I’d do with 6 fists in a kit!

I took some notes on today's stream again:

-The Traitor & Loyalist Stratagem cards are going to include the Legio-specific Stratagems from the Legio rules sections 26 cards in each deck
-Tempestus is in the Traitor deck, as is proper  )
-Each deck seems to contain some neutral stratagems (Traitor has the Titan-hunting Infantry) so if you really like using the cards it may be worth grabbing a pack of each?

-each character terminal has a special rule at the top and a bit of history on the back, as well as which Legio the particular Titan belongs to
-Andy read off some rules from them:
-Ibn Faruq (spelling may be way off), Reaver of Fureans, which comes with the Hunting Auspex upgrade for free and a special rule called Kingslayer, which gives it +2 on armour rolls vs Titans of scale 10 or higher
-Vestiti Ferrus, Reaver of Vulpa, has Iron-Clad: when this Titan suffers a devastating hit, roll a D6. On a 6 the Titan loses 1 structure point instead of 2
-Mantellan Foreman (?) of Tempestus, has Solitary Hunter (cannot be part of a Squadron, but when issued First Fire Orders it can fire all weapons… so this is 100% the Warhound that you want to air drop  )
-Hammer of Tyrants, Warlord of Krytos (skipped reading rule)
-Penumbral Reaper, Warlord of Mortis, has special rule Towering Exemplar and a fixed load-out that includes an Arioch Claw, Lasblasters, and Sunfury

-Lucius Praetorian, a Reaver of Astorum, special rule is Will to Survive: +1 to all Repair Rolls made by this Titan
-Dawn of Enlightenment, Reaver of Defensor, special rule is Beseech the Emperor: forgo movement in the movement phase but count it as an activation to restore void shield by D3 or 1 if they were collapsed. Can't be used if you have VSG Burn-out
-Ignis Ferrus, Warlord of Atarus, special rule represents an advanced reactor designed to contain the especially intense fury of the Titan's machine spirit (they didn't name it): advance the reactor marker once when you roll 2 on the reactor dice, but if you get an AMS it's always Wrathful
-Bellator Magno, Warlord of Gryphonicus, special rule is Martial Pride: may push the reactor in the combat phase to re-roll any hit rolls of a single weapon (Andy also mentioned Gryphonicus is at Terra if that’s of interest to anyone)
-Iracundos, Reaver of IGNATUM!!! and special rule is Hear my Fury: forgo movement in move phase (still counts as activation) to pick an enemy Titan w/in 18". The target must make a command check, and if they fail their order is removed. This Titan was included especially for one of the Titan Owners Club/House Taranis Club guys that regularly shows up at WHW. He has a Titan that he’s rigged to play audio and.. well I’ll let him say it (from the chat): “yeah after sounding the warhorn as I put my phone back into my pocket I hit my iTunes and started playing Erasure Give a little respect... it was silent for a moment then everyone started singing along. Lol” Everything they’re showing is available in the next month to 6 weeks “or something like that”

-Imperial Knight Terminals (Cerastus and Questoris) are being reprinted but Andy said it could be August before we see them, but the Acastus terminals are releasing alongside the kit

-Someone asked about the Lucius pattern head/shields or a possible plastic Lucius armor set, to which Andy replied possibly the head. He said that if they do a full Lucius pattern, he doesn’t want to just do it as upgrade kits but rather as an entirely new kit because it’s structurally very different. But “if we’re making a Lucius pattern Warlord, then we’re not making something else”

-There was a question on rescaling between 40k and AT using CAD. Andy said it makes it easier, but it's still a complex process. The 28mm Warlord took Daren Parrwood about a year. For AT, Chris Drew was designing the AT Warlord kit for resin, but when Blood Bowl blew up they switched it to plastic and they had to start redesigning again. It's down to around 6 weeks in the design phase, before it goes to production and steel cutting of tools. The design is actually the shortest part of the process.

As a non-stream related aside, I've just realized the new contrast paints may be a great way for many to approach solid trim on Legios like Vulpa and Interfector. Hmmm

Ugh... as much as I like that they're releasing Thunderstrike Gauntlets and Missile Pods, it feels like too little too late for me. I already made my own Gauntlets and I just purchased the Missile Pods from Vanguard Minis. I have too many Knights to be purchasing these as 3 x pieces to a sprue.

The cards and character Titans are exciting, though.

But your free cocktails? :smile.:

Was there anything else news worthy?

Well, I left the stream when Andy started talking about Dawn of Enlightenment. The only other thing I wrote down, not already in the detailed notes of LetsYouDown, was a mention of beam weapons as options for the porphyrion. Also Andy mentioned AT sizes being 1/4th of those of the bigger FW titans (maybe he already mentioned this before).

Then I rushed to the exhibition opening, saw wonderful works of art and got some free champagne :biggrin.:

There was a book accompanying the exhibition. When leaving for the event I took 75€ in cash as I expected this to be sufficient to acquire the book. Alas, this was not the case … I was 220€ short … I took tons of pictures instead.

Dawn of Enlightenment  I need another Reaver did anyone catch if that bad boy has a fixed loadout? Really want to build my Corsair maniple now!

No fixed loadout for Dawn of Enlightenment. From the reveal pic, apart from Dawn of Enlightenment you can only see that there is one Reaver with compulsory laser blaster and one Warlord with compulsory belicosa volcano cannon, both on the left arm.

The power fists look nice and good on them for ensuring that both left and right are options but it still feels like just a bit of a waste. Considering how the lance rules force single-loadout banners, including even another three of the basic guns instead of three more power fists would have made building to that a bit easier.

Also these special character titans are nice but do any of these actually have any significant background? Serious question, do they have any interest or character beyond what we can infer from their rules? 'Hammer of Tyrants' is in the Titandeath book, probably others I'm not recalling too, but even then they only have, what, a paragraph of background each. Were people already deliberately modelling these guys from the colour plates?

Making Auracundis a nod to a WHW regular is a very nice touch though, and that it's Ignatum is exciting.:smile.: Also good to hear we don't have long to wait for the Porphyrion!

Ah good spot thanks :) So if it forgoes movement to make his void shield repair I'll make it a long range one then - apocs, volcano and laser blasters! All the heat! Damn the reactor!!!

If one of my titans is going to overheat and explode it can at least do it in the other deployment zone - not mine.

Slightly sad that the Astorum one isn't that cool. A reaver that's even better at fixing itself isn't going to have a huge impact, especially since you can drop a reaver without letting it repair.
