I've been asking this question everywhere but haven't received an answer yet and thought you all might have some insight: what does the reaver fist look like on a contemptor chassis? Could anyone hold up an AT reaver next to a contemptor? I'm trying to see which bits can cross over between scales for conversion purposes. Thanks a million!

I can do this, but it wont happen until midnight or later (3 hours from now).

I'll check later and will post a pic if there isnt one allready.

Anyone have advice for building a force with a bias towards heavier engines? My current plan is to pick up one more Warlord and run 3 Warlords, 2 Reavers, 1 Warhound. The Warhound will get the plasma/gatling loadout, and as it stands I was planning one gatling/fist/missiles Reaver and one triple-laser Reaver, but I'm undecided on my Warlord loadouts and I'm wavering a bit on whether I'd be better getting a third Reaver with the new weapons.

The nice thing about AT is that, from what I've heard, you can run whatever engines you want, armed how you want and you'll have a good shot at it being balanced against whatever you're facing.

I suppose for your question, what's your points limit? It'll affect how many engines you can fit in. Three Warlords with dual fists and missiles are a good bit cheaper than lasers and dual volcano cannons as an example. What type of list do you expect to see? Are you playing for fun or to destroy all before you?

Presumably you're running the five big engines as a Maniple and tacking on the Warhound?

So what do you think the ‘standard’ style releases will be for AT after Titandeath?

For the other modern SG games you get a kit and a rule book of some type. But AT’s units carry their rules on cards and terminals. So will it just be a titan kit, a terminal pack and a set of cards? I hope we get something with background in at least. I like BB’s in universe Spike magazine concept so maybe it could be some kind of AdMech document that goes with each.

Maybe it could be themed around a Legio each time and we’d get something like a codex? That way they could release dice too.

Or do you think we’ll be on a longer gap between releases but get a mini black book each time?

Just curious as to what people are hoping for.

Might be a dumb question since I haven't managed to get a game in yet but is an Axiom maniple containing a Warlord, Reaver and 1 Warhound going to be a decent match against a Venator Light Maniple that has 3 Warhounds and 1 Reaver? Or would it be a one sided wipeout :P loadouts are the normal box set ones (warlord will have volcano cannons). I am going to magnetise everything apart from one Reaver I already glued together that has the gatling and laser blaster.

Yeah they do seem to be very similar points wise from a quick list I put together in Battlescribe the Venator maniple is around 100 points less but with that I could put some pricier guns on the Reaver to make it more long ranged like a Volcano cannon or something, just to take advantage of the special rules if the Warhounds drop some shields.

Background chat on WHTV twitch with Andy Hoare right now, seems largely to be discussion of what old background inspired the events in the AT rulebook timeline.

They basically just confirmed that demon titans are coming down the line as the will explore the late Heresy.

Also, Nemesis titans apparently are basically what M10 tank is to M4 - so less mobility, less armor (?) and a gun of the larger class mounted on top.  There was a hint of a warhound nemesis (???) that would have reaver main weapon on top.

Andy said that a Nemesis had a carapace weapon of the titan class above it. i guess the warhound was just an example of how it works, not that it will actually exist.

IMO the Reaver Nemesis he told us about is unnecessary, as that´s what the Warbringer Nemesis is already doing. It would just be the same with less armour and a bit cheaper. If released though, it could be great in a venator maniple for heavy shots

Aye, TBH I'd be much more interested in seeing the "standard" version of the Warbringer chassis(with, one assumes, a pair of Reaver carapace guns?) than a Nemesis variant of the Reaver. These kinds of variations are perfect for resin upgrade kits though - a gun and a new carapace armour plate section is all you'd really need, though it might look even more unbalanced than the Warbringer.

New fun thing to do: post about the possible future of Epic in the DakkaDakka thread about AT rumors.

They have a program on Netflix about that. I believe it's called troll hunters.

It's only now that I've lined up my painted titans next to each other (whilst making stomping robot noises - my wife is beginning to think I have tourettes) that I've noticed the big size jump between reaver and warlord. I'm hoping that the nemesis comes out in the next few months to fill the gap. I never really believe gw when they say they have no plans for x or y, I think they mean it's not in the next 3 month window. I do wonder with the nemesis though whether recoil weapons make sense as they look like they would topple it over. I would love a valkyrie landing pad on one though, I have a vision of a sub type of skitarii whose role is to rapell on to opposing titans and stick melta bombs wherever they can

I’m getting genuinely excited about the prospect of the new titan classes. Upto now, we’ve just had great reproductions of stuff we’ve seen before.

I’m probably setting myself up for disappointment but maybe we’ll see something completely new alongside Titandeath. I wonder if any other Titan classes are mentioned in the novel. Guess I’ll find out next week!
