Marshal Reinhard
I have gone for the hooded skull helm from the interrogator chaplain. Actually one of my top other candidates, though I don't have the model on hand. It wouldn't be the first Dark Angel I purchase to soley plunder for bits Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353155-reinhards-primaris-crusade/page/8/#findComment-5579086 Share on other sites

Marshal Reinhard
One half of the intercessors are, well I hesitate to use the word "done", but here they are. I also did one of the THICC bois Weather's too hot for me to whine any more about how unfinished they are, see you next week. Brother Christopher
Cool stuff, I like the uniform colour scheme and the classic-looking red housings for the guns. Bjorn Firewalker
Your Intercessors are well-painted. I'm glad they bear swords like Sons of Dorn and Disciples of Sigismund, unlike the pansy Ultramarines. Marshal Reinhard
Painted this guy during the weekend. Very happy with how he turned out. Which should be evident as I changed my icon. Bjorn Firewalker
Excellent work. Will he be a Sword Brethren, or will you promote him to Marshal of your crusade? Marshal Reinhard
Fair question I suppose, given that he's now my icon, but no he's clearly marked as a sword brethren with the bright red pauldron rims & cross on black pauldrons. His two brothers will follow soon, as will the blade guard castellan from the box. Marshal Reinhard
Got a package in the mail the other day, some chains I ordered long ago that finally saw fit to arrive. Anyone remember this guy? This is about as far back as when I decided I wanted chains. It's taken a while for me to find ones I liked and for them to get here. I got some really tiny ones (for model ships?) because I didn't want them to have rings large enough to fit 3 marine fingers through. The model has 3 small pieces of chain: Around the pistol, a chain necklace (its really to hide an ugly seem that arose from me having trouble assembling this particular mini. as well as small one from his belt that relic thing is supposed to hang from. Next I decied to repaint the weapons of some my bolt rifle intercessors, and I put chains around the one. Are they perhaps too small for the weapons? Oh well, they're definately not too big. Also painted the other two THICC marines from Indomitus box Clearly not done with the highlights. And then I started, and mostly completed the Bladeguard Castellan and Ancient. As is typical with me, I've been mostly lazy with my highlighting game on the black armor, so I need to go over a bunch of these. Gederas
Okay I have to ask:Where is that brilliant head on the Bladeguard Ancient from? Â (also hate to be that guy, but.... Volkites are red, not green. They're heat guns. The coils are supposed to look like old school toaster coils almost) Edited August 30, 2020 by Gederas Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353155-reinhards-primaris-crusade/page/8/#findComment-5594057 Share on other sites
Marshal Reinhard
The head is from the deathwatch watch master  and I know my chooms well, problem is red energy on red gun would probably not work.. suppose i could not have a red gun though Gederas 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353155-reinhards-primaris-crusade/page/8/#findComment-5594060 Share on other sites

I completely forgot about that head  And the red on red works You just need to highlight the coils up to Yellow. I did it on my Indomitus LT and it works quite well.  I did the coils on mine like this: Base: Iron Warriors Shade: Nuln Oil Contrast: Blood Angels Red Layer 1 (all layers are only on the coils): Evil Sunz Scarlet Layer 2: Wild Rider Red Layer 3: Troll Slayer Orange Layer 4: Fire Dragon Bright Layer 5: Yriel Yellow Layer 6: Flash Gitz Yellow The first layer was all over the coils, and each successive one was further and further towards the middle. The result is really, really good. I'll take a picture of my Indomitus LT later on tonight when I'm done with the backpack so you can see. Because as a Dark Angels player, all my weapon casings are Red as well. Marshal Reinhard
Some progress during the weekend, though apparently i had the shakes so the pictures are a bit more blurry than usual. The Bladeguard are now a squad: And some more progress on the Bladeguard Castellan, and here's the captain too for good measure: I did the coils on mine like this: Base: Iron Warriors Shade: Nuln Oil Contrast: Blood Angels Red Layer 1 (all layers are only on the coils): Evil Sunz Scarlet Layer 2: Wild Rider Red Layer 3: Troll Slayer Orange Layer 4: Fire Dragon Bright Layer 5: Yriel Yellow Layer 6: Flash Gitz Yellow The first layer was all over the coils, and each successive one was further and further towards the middle.
