BSB Speculation

@taikishi, the other issue you have with your 'false advertising /illegal' statement is timing... when GW issued that statement SoB didnt have a commercially available codex (and uptil it goes on pre-order still doesn) and so it could be argued that the SoB codex is exempt from the statement........

Seems pretty evident to me, between both pictures and the announcement, that new rules will happen. It's just when, not if. When the PA2 leaks happened, I thought it weird that there was a chance Sisters would be getting rules in PA2 that weren't immediately in the codex given their proximity of release. Now that we know they aren't, plus the fact that Harlequins didn't receive new rules (that I'm aware of) in PA1 but their logo is on this page, I'm led to believe there will be far more than 3 PA books.

False advertising? Laughable. You can't seriously believe that 'you'll get rules' then not getting rules would be enough ro actually constitute a valid false advertising suit, especially considering it happens like twice a month.

GW lie in their promotional material all the time and never get legally called on it because A. Nobody with money cares and B. They can always just claim illustrative hyperbole.

Hell, even here I can dispute any attempt to keep them to the claims they made. 'You said new rules for all these factions' Sister's get a codex that happens at the same time as PA, which constitutes getting new rules as a part of PA. 'You had a slide that said new rules for every codex' Correct, the Sister's new codex is new rules for the beta codex, thus we have fulfilled our promise. 'You said every faction would have a stake in PA' Sisters have a blurb in book two where they fight somewhere, that counts as having a stake', easy.

Will there be more PA books beyond BA+Nids? Probably.

Will any of them have rules for Sisters? It's certainly possible, but the admittedly very circumstantial evidence we've seen so far suggests that Faith and Fury is Sisters' PA appearance and leakers suggest that they have no actual rules content for SoB in that book. Combine that with Sisters long history of being last in line at the lunch counter and I would certainly recommend against getting my hopes up.

Will they face a false advertising suit if they don't come out with sisters rules in a PA book? HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA No.

....gosh I really hope the codex sucks and is a complete flop and causes sisters to collect dust on shelves and GW have entire warehouses full of sisters stock. I really hope that they'll be even worse than grey knights. /reversepsychology #roadtodissapointment Edited by Atrus

Remember, all, the teaching of the Ecclesiarchy,  especially as we near the release date: Hope is the first step on the Road to Disappointment.

I thought the teachings of the Ecclesiarchy was trust in the Emperor, let not the xenos, mutant & heritics live... oh and the only reason why SMs arent mutants is because the Emperor made them!

Releasing new rules for sisters in PA right after their dex comes out is stupid.

I disagree.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I don't see why anyone would want to have to buy two or more books instead of one to have their rules in, especially when the main codex is going to be just brand new at the time. Well, I guess GW loves that kind of customer at least.

Confirmed that Inquisition is getting strats and a new psychic discipline in the WD.

I think Sisters will get PA rules content in the month of the full army release. And I suspect all the WD content for Sos, Inquisition, and Assassins will be combined with all of the 40k rules for the Rogue Traders to become Codex: Imperial Agents.

I expect a minimum 5 book run for PA, but it could see it going to 8 or even 10. They've never said that each faction only gets one appearance; the idea here is that GW is telling a story, and it'll be however many books, appearances by factions and rules as are required to tell said story.

They might print a couple specialist detachments for Sisters in PA perhaps. I don’t think they’ve put specialist detachments directly in codices before have they? Not that I want to have to buy 2 books immediately but it seems possible they’d have some supplemental rules that they decide don’t belong in the codex proper, and stick them into the next PA book. From a source outside the usual Codex BSB channels:

Sisters look to be a part of this Psychic Awakening that's going on right now-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IHOGw8iing

So with this we see the Sororitas not only participating in the strategy session in the Headquarters, but they are also participating in battle against elements of at least three legions of Chaos Space Marines. Knowing this I have the feeling we just might see a fairly strong Codex for us at the end of this month.

Sisters allied with Imperial Guard and Salamanders-- cool!

I don't care if it's in 8 books so long as the rules are GOOD.

That said, it's not like I would ever buy 8 books. Rules are the easiest things to acquire without paying.

What trailer? I'm seeing the one for the boxset and the "animated" one for PA2, that's it. Not seeing the Dialogus in either.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8UMoWOW6jQ 28 seconds the lady in the center has the same floating lecturn as was in BSB 3.

Ergo she's an artist's rendering of an actual model. And since the only character in the army that would need a lecturn is the dialogus, new dialogus.

How is "brand new never before seen units" defined?

Is it just ones according to the BSB? In which case that would be Exorcist and Immolator, Celestians and Dominion etc.

Or is it what we genuinely hope for, legit new units? Hey it's GW PR team, you just can't be sure...

The other thing I took away is 'miracle dice' instead of FPs and sacred rites instead of acts of faith...

If you go all the way back to the beginning you'd roll a dice for each squad of sisters, for random game-long bonuses that would have little meaningful effect.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of sisters getting nerfed all the way back to 2nd edition on that front.
