Noserenda
Quick question Fraters, does anyone have a source to the footprint of the card dropzone commander buildings, our group stores them centrally but i want to make some basic ruined versions for when we blow them up, we had been using old epic ruins but they are very differently sized! Pacific81
Not sure if anyone is interested in this but I have finally managed to get hold of an AT-scaled Ork 'gargant'. Its a 'Ramshackle Gargantuan' from Etsy and its a big boy! Has got some quite cool details, my favourite is that its feet are Land Raiders, and it has a cool little LED/explosion on the base. Will feel better now when this thing survives every Titan on the tabletop during a game Interrogator Stobz, Noserenda, Mandragola and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357462-today-in-titanicus-i/page/94/#findComment-5898849 Share on other sites
Sherrypie
Well he's a proper chonky boy, I sense a lot of drybrushing in your future :D Whole Ork mobs for Titanicus would be great, the world needs more of those. Mandragola
That's a cool model. Someone's spent a very long time on the details there. Will be cool to see it painted up. The explosion is a nice touch too. Pacific81
Some photos of the finished Gargant. Seller was custommodels on Etsy, and a really nice and detailed sculpt. And most importantly, nicely scaled to go up against the AT-scale Titan! Lord_Borak
Damn!! That's awesome. The paintjob is great mate. Mandragola
Great job on the gargant. You've got it done much faster than I expected to be honest. It looks really good. Pacific81
Thanks guys! Haha yes @Lord_BorakIyou are absolutely right, a lot of the sculpt is recasts of stuff. Definitely old Slasha Gargant bits, the feet themselves are a Land Raider and something else. Also some bits of more modern 3rd party proxies. Now the problem is I need something on the Imperial side to square up against it. Mandragola
The AT starter is great value. It’s also the gateway into GW‘’a best game. Pacific81
Have just painted up some Knights. These are from a lesser known Knight household, House Morton, for which I had to plumb the depths of Lexicanum (wanted to use Purple and that was my search criteria!) apologist
Not letting @Pacific81’s Orks have all the fun, I’m working on an Adeptus Titanicus-scale Eldar Phantom, a 3D print from Mighty Minis. Pacific81
Excellent! The scale looks spot on, and I like the proportions. I can see the volcano cannon shots annoyingly scattering between it's arms and legs as I type apologist 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357462-today-in-titanicus-i/page/94/#findComment-5905922 Share on other sites
Pacific81
Just been working on a Warlord base, I had an idea of something like the 2nd edition Space Marine box cover, but it's taking forever LameBeard, The Yak, Raziel-TX and 4 others 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357462-today-in-titanicus-i/page/94/#findComment-5908623 Share on other sites

LameBeard
“I have won a Warlord in a game of chance” (actually just a popular auction site). It’s half built, in a pose I quite like, and upper body not yet attached to legs. What are people’s thoughts about practicality on storage etc? Should i glue the 2 halves? Magnetise? Or just leave ‘em loose? Sword Brother Adelard
Loose doesn't really work in a game where arcs are so key, I'd just glue it, you could magnetise, but I don't think it would be worth the effort. Mandragola
I haven't stuck the bodies on any of my Warlords. I mark the front of the base to show the facing (not the whole arc) so it's not important if the top swivels a bit. Lord_Borak
I'd glue them as well. It causes no end of confusion with facings and things. Less so with smaller Titans but with Warlords and Carapace Arcs people can get confused where the Carapace weapons are pointing (well, I do anything). As for transportation. I use these https://www.feldherr.net/for/adeptus-titanicus They're really nice. Maybe not the best in terms of getting the most in your case but still good quality. Sword Brother Adelard
I transport mine in one of these old GW cases. If you rip out the inner foam flaps, and just have the outer foam, you can comfortably fit a Maniple in it. LameBeard
Thanks for all the replies. The consensus seems magnets are too much fuss, apart from that we are divided on glue or not to glue. I got out my son’s Warlord (unglued) and although it certainly helps with storage, it is annoying if you forget it’s not glued and drop half your model on the floor. I will probably glue (once the fiddly bits are painted). Maybe the alternative is to wrap tape around the central spike so it fits nice and snug but can be pulled apart if absolutely necessary. Sword Brother Adelard
TIT I built some terrain: A centre piece building which blocks shooting well, but allows small stuff to run through. In addition, if the buildings are placed separately, by utter fluke, the bridge sections are exactly the right height to board a warlord! Lord_Borak
Wow, those buildings are ace. I also had no idea the Grimdark stuff was compatible with the GW terrain. That's gonna be.......... expensive. On a side note. That Warlords Gatling cannon. Is that just a Leviathan Storm cannon with Sunfury armour plates?
