That's the goal! Since the Star Phantoms have 3 Devastator squads vs. the standard 2 that will be 110 marines plus support vehicles...

If anyone is interested in the files I'm using PM me and I can give you links to where they are available on Cults3D.

And now, for something completely different...

I recently participated in a painting contest sponsored by Dark Gods 3D on their Discord/Instagram. The contest ran from Oct. 1 to Nov. 15. (Still awaiting judging results.) I also double-sipped and pledged to the Join the Waaaaaagh! Orktoberfest 2021 challenge. Here are the results:

Final submission pictures. Made it with 1.5 hours to spare!

For reference, that is a 160mm round base! Here's the shot of him printed with a standard boy (32mm base) for scale.

I've volunteered to help assemble and paint an Ork army aimed at being added to the Nova Charity Auctions for 2022. This is being headed up and managed over on Bartertown. If you're interested in helping out, please give us a shout there: http://www.bartertown.com/trading/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=337503

Here's my starting point for a 30 man mob of Bad Moon Boyz:

Here's the first batch of 7 Boyz for my completion this month. (Bases are left black as the organizer of the charity army will be doing all of the basing to keep the army consistent.):

I usually paint in batches of 5, but I kept going with the original 2 test models to make them match the rest. Next batch is primed and ready for paint!

The Nob for the first Trukk Boyz squad is complete, so that finishes the first squad for this charity army.

Finally overcame my painting related burnout and finished the Warboss I'm contributing to the charity army project. I did some basic work on the base as he's standing on the tactical metal plate and his pose is a bit awkward without it.

I've been working through the Imperium magazine with my grandson. He loves both the SMs and the Necrons. So I guess I get to paint both of them for him.

Start of the army:

*Dons Necromancer Skull Hat*

I have returned. I never left, just quit posting as I couldn't be bothered. Trying to change that around.

My latest build:

Trukk01-Green01.jpg Trukk01-Green02.jpg Trukk01-Green03.jpg

Trukk01-Green04.jpg Trukk01-Green05.jpg Trukk01-Green06.jpg

Mostly 3D printed Trukk. Only the bed contains plastic parts from the GW kit, mostly to show that the scale is a dead on match for the GW kit.

Several more in progress, a couple very near to completion.

@Dr_Ruminahui - fair point. The chain and ball are one file and the chain is free floating so the ball actually swings. I've already scaled it down to 70% as it was intended as a terrain piece originally. Any smaller and the chain will likely snap a bit too easily. Besides, I like a wrecking ball that looks like it might actually do some damage. ;)

Speaking of, here's the next Trukk, which is the GW kit for comparison's sake:

I may sell this one alongside the rest of my GW plastic Orks. I'm going all 3D printed resin.

Finished the crew for Trukk #1. Lights are blowing out a few things like the heat staining on the barrel, but I can't be bothered to fix it right now.

These are awesome! Love it!

And I know these are sub-assembly but the first one reminds me of when my son played driving games on the Wii....same pose and all seriousness.

Thanks @Jhadzaan. My boys used to do the same thing. :D

Trukk #1, aka "Da Rippa" is complete. There's still lots of minor tweaks that could be done, but I gave myself a 2 week deadline and I'm happy with it. Still debating whether to mount my Trukks (and Battlewagons) on bases. It solves a few problems, but means they need to be decorated and the wheels pigmented to match, etc... Maybe someday. Today is not that day!

MrModulork parts:
Trukk Kit A and Accessories = Trukk cab, chassis, driver body and plow
Orc V8 Buggy = Engine
Orc Battle Bus = Rooftop gunner
Klaw Arm and Wrecking Ball = Wrecking ball

EightLegsMiniatures:
MadScrapTruck = Rear wheels
Orkz Heavy Armoured War Wagon = Front wheels

Games Workshop:
Trukk = Trukk bed

Really like your Trukk and the mix of GW / printed parts to get some variety when you have multiple vehicles. Looking proppa Orky!

I've got one Trukk built with another in the queue - might nowhave to investigate printed bits for it!
