Poor Sigismund can't kill anyone it seems.

Hey man, the Black Sword can't pierce Plot Armor. That stuff is tougher than a Necron Wearing Aurumite Terminator armor at the heart of a blackstone fortress covered in Gloriana's at the heart of a tombworld within Comorragh with the blessing of the Emp and Chaos Undivided with the luck of the Tau.

Isn't Falkus in ADB's Abaddon series post-Scouring?

yes, which did confuse me a little, as he gets cut open and beheaded by Garro here. It does mention some entity inside of him which dissipates, so whether that’s his essence or whatever which becomes possessed Kibre in the Black Legion books...

Garro wrenched the blade out of him, and hacked, splitting Falkus Kibre through the chin, the sternum and the groin.

Torn open, Kibre sank to his knees. Glossy black organs bulged and spilled out of him, carried by a rush of fluid as dark as Prometheum. He had not been Falkus Kibre in any organic sense for a long time. Whatever invisible, aetheric thing had been nesting in him shrieked and fled, leaving it’s ruined host body behind.

‘’Throne of Terra,’ Garro murmured. ‘You poor bastard...’

Garro swung, quickly, surely, and struck off Falkus Kibre’s gasping head.

Actually... maybe it isnt an error.

Remember that Daemon possessing the Justaerin?

Isn't it weird that Abbadon, with all of his flaws and hypocracy, is so okay with that? Or that it can meld together with all of them so easily at once?

What if the Daemon is the real Falkus and Khayon's friend is either a fraud or a lieutenant who took up his identity Blood Angels style?

That would be interesting, given that

Falkus only becomes possessed during the course of the first Black Legion book, rather than prior to it.

Also, its especially strange, given that up until this point in the Heresy, Falkus has never been suggested as being any more than a regular Astartes, being the veritable 'straight man' of the Mournival. Nothing to suggest long-term corruption on the level suggested by the excerpt.

I quite like the idea that he’d become corrupted like that inside without even knowing, though. Proper insidious stuff.

If Abnett went with that angle, it could work. Or he was "in the zone" as he wrote and forgot about it.

I'm still curious about what happened with Ezekyle.

Abaddon comes out fine.

He's weeping because he's extracted from what he thinks is his final, glorious brawl; he remembers what warfare used to feel like in the Good Old Days.

Ya know... I can get disagreement and debate.

What I cant get is the persistent need to complain with one sentence, not even in an interesting fashion.

Back to the book.

Anyone else get a good laugh out of Euphratii basically holding an interview with the whinier end of the 40k fanbase?
