Finished painting the last of my cultists (aka crew members) - don't have names or backgrounds for them yet.  I'm really happy with how they've turned out.

And here are all the crew members together.

They look great. :smile.:

Yep, they do! Any plans to add more models to this Kill Team? Perhaps the Pirate Leader?

Thanks!

I'm adding 4 astral claws - those will be my specialists.  Essentially, the pirates came by to loot ships destroyed in a fleet action between the Claws and loyalists, and rescued the 4 claws from where they were stranded on a loyalist ship they had boarded.  Now they raid together.

Go here if you want to see the unpainted Claws - or you can wait a bit and see them when I post the completed pictures.  http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/361428-back-to-badab-a-badab-war-community-log-kill-team-edition/?p=5469821

I'm trying to paint my Carcharodons and haven't found a good way to do the armor markings. Anyone have any tips?

I'd usually trace them with a fine pencil and the free hand them. I have some experience using (black) chalks on minis for weathering - you can sharpen it like a pencil and use the cast off elsewhere. That might work for exile markings? I have no experience using stencils, but I'd figure those could be useful.

BTW I am a bit short of time lately and running low on greens... and black primer of all things... I might take a detour and do some odd other mini for the Badab War for the Lock Down Event. Maybe AdMech or a Raider...,

I, Chaoself do swear to complete a Kill Team consisting of 10  Marines Errants who are committed to the Loyalist cause. The deadline for this will be 30.06.2020 and I shall do the utmost best to not fail my brothers- and sisters-in-arms.

Not the best Picture to start with , but I wanted to show an wip picture of my Marines Errant Scouts. Starting with Scouts feels a little bit like cheating on that blue/white armour scheme. I painted a single Blood Angels Scout last week for the Lost Patrol Boardgame and that made me want to do some more Scouts. I´l try to get some progress and shot a better picture tomorow. :smile.:

Hi folks,

I've started work on my Mantis Warriors. I've put together a demi-squad and got some base colours on one model.

I still need to clean up a lot of mold lines and for anyone wondering, the power packs are kept separate for painting.

I wanted to get a bit of a Rogue Trader vibe for these guys so went with a raised powerfist and a plasma pistol for the Squad Leader.

This model I think is the weakest in terms of posing. The fixed torso twist makes this pose a little awkward in my eyes. Still, for a basic bolter marine I think it functions. I want to make sure every model in the squad has a defining feature, so for the bolter marines, I'm aiming to avoid duplicating bolter Mks if I can.

Next we have my test model. So far I've got a single layer of paint on most areas, so there is still a way to go until he's completed. There are still a few areas on the power armour I need to go back over to get one solid coat of green.

Next I've got what is hopefully identifiable as my Comms specialist.

Finally I've got my reloading marine. This pose took a lot of knife and clipper work as the arm was originally cradling a bolt rife rather than a bolter.

C&C Welcome.

Uhhh, speaking of Badab from Germany, I know I am... very late, but I've finally started working on my iteration of Vaylund Cal:

It's a very early wip, but I'll get more stuff done on him over the course of the week.

Glad to see that there's still some activity/life in this thread; I've been focusing on my Black Templars lately.

In particular, that Vaylund Cal looks fantastic!

The Mantis Warriors squad looks promising, too. :biggrin.:

Keep it up, folks!

Glad you like it! I'm not sure, honestly. I'm already building two different marine armies, I'm not sure whether I'd really like a third. Maybe seeing him finished will make up my mind.

Hey folks, another long time lurker first time poster here. I'd just yesterday finished painting the first of my Star Phantom kill team memebers, when, as luck would have it I bumbed into this thread. I thought now would be as good a time as any to hop on board and contribute to all these awesome projects.

Eisenhorn, your phantoms look ace. Great job. Anyway here's the first marine. Lore all to come as I paint these guys up and give them their idiosyncrasies and quirks but hope you like him anyway, and obviously hello everyone! Lovely to meet you all haha

Also I tried googling it but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a certain amount of posts you need to have in order to be able to upload pics? Here's the imgut album anyhow. There should be a few snaps of the other memebers though they are from from finished.
