 Blood Angels IXth Legion Champion

Backstory: We had an event up in Seattle recently where everyone received a convention model. Afterwards we were invited to participate in a painting/modeling contest for prizes. So this guy was my entry to that contest.

How did you do such? Oil washes? Sorcery?

 

It's 100% drybrushing. Base layer mephy red, 2 coats of nuln (watered down slightly) then drybrush meph for layer 1 followed by layer 2 drybrush of evil suns scarlette. Same technique with any black panels.
