I’ve had to put the Krieg on hold for a little while, I’m painting up some Black Templars for my brother to sell.

After that I need to work on one of those shark riders (can’t remember what they’re called) from Age of Sigmar.

Once all that lot is done I’ll be back on the Krieg big time!

I’ve finished my first Squad of the plastic infantry from Gamesworkshop!

I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical at first but they were so much easier to work with and took such a small amount of time to prepare for painting.

There’s slightly less fine detail than the Forgeworld ones and the hands and ankles are thicker. 

With that said they’re still a great kit and I’d happily recommend them to anyone who wants to start a Krieg force.

Back in my comfort zone!

This week’s update is for the last of my Combat Engineers!

That’s 20 of them now plus a Molelauncher.

I really hope that when the codex comes out they don’t drop these, they’re such a good and iconic unit.

I admire your progress and dedication to cranking through these Krieg models. They look gritty and wonderful, the color scheme itself looks muted in this wonderfully weathered way. I love to see it. 

Re: your list from a month or so back. I can't speak to the Krieg stuff very much, as I'm behind on their rules. But it seems like you have a great clutch of bodies, and plenty of mobility and/or deployment shenanigans to get on some objectives. With Guard right now, we about break even on competitiveness with our secondaries, but struggle to compete on raw killing power and on durability. With enough bodies/chassis, it's possible to simply have more stuff than your opponent can successfully kill. But in this meta, everything is really killy, so achieving that critical mass is tough.

I'd love to hear how your Kriegers do in some games with that list. Keep your eye on the VP count turn-by-turn, and that will probably give you an indication of where your list is succeeding or failing.

Cheers Slave to Darkness! Right there with you mate, if they don’t go in the new codex I’ll be gutted, they’re the perfect

harassment unit! Hopefully there’s truth to the rumour of a Krieg book coming in 10th!

I have tried to build a Krieg force many times but this time I’ve seen it through with my largest collection to date.

 

The list previously posted has changed, I’ve now dropped a few things in favour of a Demolisher Tank Commander and

returned to using my Macharius!
 

I found that with all the artillery I got overwhelmed quite easily, so the new list has more of an emphasis on movement/deep

striking units.

This week’s project was a Mars Alpha Pattern Leman Russ!

Really love these sculpts (apart from the usual problems of building resin kits!)

They really have some heft to them and I think the additional filters and trench rails give them a stockier silhouette.

I went with the 3rd’s traditional markings of white skull on blue stripe.

I chose this model as my Enginseer because I’ve had a soft spot for the Mechanicum since reading the HH novel!

I don’t want to start another army so he’s scratched the itch.

This is the Command Tank for 4th Squadron. I’ve been saving the Commissar Tank Commander for a while now.

I’m still in the process of updating my army inline with the new codex.

 

 I’m planning on running my Forgeworld units as Infantry Squads and my GW units as DKoK.

I’ve now finished the Heavy Weapons teams for 4 of my Infantry Squads. I went with 2 Lascannons and 2 Autocannons.

I’ve been busy this week so not too much to report. I still managed to crank out these counts as Bullgryn.

I saw these on Etsy but found them cheaper on eBay!

I really like them, they have gas masks (shocking for me I know!) and the shields were just detailed enough.

I put the army badge on the shields to tie them in.

Really easy to build and they come with both gauntlets and mauls!

 

I really enjoyed working on them.

Those "Bullgryns" are a great find, bit more human than the GW offering.

Thanks our_baz! I thought they were less cartoony than the GW ones.

In the meantime I have a game booked so I had to get my Krieg ready for battle!

With that in mind I finished my new Rogal Dorn tank ready. Hopefully a lick of paint will improve my dice rolls!!

I’ve had a Tank Commander and a spare Korpsman for a while and wanted to use them to give the Rogal Dorn a Krieg flavour.

 I’m currently working on some more plastic Korpsmen. This will probably be the last of the Infantry for now.

 

I have a Earthshaker Carriage and 2 Heavy Mortars too (That’s it for the Krieg pile of shame) I’m getting ready for 10th!

 

 

 

 

Just saw on the GW Community site that the Guard are next for the Faction Focus so we can see the direction of travel!

I was sad to see we won’t get any love for the foreseeable. Hopefully we’ll get some good rules to tied us over!

It’s been a while but I’m back on the Krieg! It’s like laying under a warm familiar blanket!

I’ve finished the second Plastic Death Korps of Krieg squad from Games Workshop that I own.

This is the 8th Infantry Squad for the 3rd Siege Regiment. I’ve imaginatively called them “Squad 8!”

I especially enjoyed working on the Medic, I’ve added a little blood on him. 

Funny really as in the background for the  Vraks Campaign it says that Korpsmen don’t really bother with the wounded!
