@Mol building a non-tactical marine, non-ultramarines chaplain is doing it on hard-mode (particularly with the 2x fellowship cost penalty via Doom Eagles), but I think I have something that should function adequately for our purposes. I appreciate the challenge!

Decided to go with Return to Duty and take signature wargear for the cybernetic eye.

I'm a little unsure which squad & solo modes my chaplain should have access to -- any advice?

Don't need to Sig Wargear the bionic eye, one you've got it, it's yours until you're dead.

After recounting I apparently spent 9,650 - I must have been tired...

Honestly, out of these I don't think Forging the Bond fits. I get that mechanically it makes us a better team player, but Achillion is quite set in his techniques. If anybody else has suggestions or comments then let me know!

Hi all,

Mojake - as Steel has mentioned, there is a Blackthorn/Swordhand character page. You can also find it in my signature, where I've linked to all four of our threads (IC/OCC/Character/Data-slate)

The Psychic Powers tab on your sheet is empty - you can include whatever information you want there in order to make it a useful reference for you (and me, if I need to check anything.) In game, I tend to check players' sheets before the rulebooks, as it's just marginally quicker.

If you'd like to take No Quarter Given then you are welcome to do so.

With regards to posting images, I use IMGUR. I have found that if you accidentally put the page link instead of the image link into IMG tags, the board will reject it. I use Google Chrome, so I've found the best thing to do on IMGUR is to right-click the image and select "open image in new tab" - and then use that address in IMG tags here on the B&C.

If you don't want to take Forging the Bond, you are certainly not required to do so. Having seen Mazer's optional rules in his thread, I'm inclined to follow suit at some stage...

Necronaut - I'm inclined to think that the cost of signature wargear just for a bionic eye is a little excessive and potentially needlessly restricting yourself when you could look at getting yourself something more useful.

With regards to Solo and Squad Modes, I guess it depends how the Doom Eagles operate (or alternately, Helgrim as a Chaplain.) Some of the Black Templars squad modes may be useful (remember that there are additional Templars ones in Honour the Chapter - Judgement of Sigismund could make for a great Chaplain ability. (No Respite, No Forgiveness seems like it might be good for the Doom Eagles' abilities - call that WOE BETIDE and we might be there!)

I will attempt to get Pallan's sheet sorted in the next couple of days as I have a lot going on at the moment and the rules side of things is too complicated for my tired mind to understand at the moment. Thanks to all for bearing with me.

Don't worry.  You will hear from me when I get there.  Life has just been a bit full on, mostly with Fire Fighting things at the moment.  The joys of being 2IC I guess.

@Commissar Molotov

Looking at the recruitment sheet, I added my Trapping to my character sheet. Is there something wrong with my Standard Equipment and XP spending?

He’s mentioned that he hasn’t given us everything regarding starting equipment. I’m sure the others are just making sure to double check.

CM,

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. The black Templar abilities seem like they could be a good fit. I'll review them today.

So the only reason I was considering sig wargear for the eye was to avoid needlessly penalizing the group's requisition points, but I agree that it's basically a waste of 500 xp uses that way. Also I think I might replace return to duty with second in Command or similar (as useful as the lores and peer talents are, Helgrim is a front-line commander and his main focus in life is not politicking).

Heh... as my XO used to tell me, "My job is a whole lot less fire fighting and more triage..."

Hi CM,

I've updated my sheet completely. I think it's up to standard based on what information you've currently given us.

Cheers

As have I, looking forward to finally playing soon!

And I look forward to seeing how Tyber takes to all of you... I already know there is going to be some friction with the Consecrator due to the... complicated history between the Dragons and others from the lineage of the Lion.

Let's hope we don't encounter any Word Bearers...things might get awkward for Ekieo...

I think we can all bond over the mutual destruction of traitors and heretics.
