@Trokairshould Helene make a roll for talking to the figures ahead, or do I just post what she says and wait for a response?

You don’t need to roll to speak to them, but you do need to attract their attention first as right now they are happily driving along oblivious to what is behind them.

Perhaps shouting will draw their attention, or some other noise.

I can’t see anything in the rules about deliberately making yourself noticeable, so I guess a Fellowship test as you are trying to communicate. Or a Strength test to see how loud you can shout. Something like that.

make more noise?

gunfire or explosions can be loud,

Or be inventive, other things can amke noise as well

or maybe tunr on short way comms and hope you find a channel

Helene doesn't have any guns but... How big a bonus would revving the chainsword be?

I am no expert noise of chainsword vs truck, but I would imagine that it is not going to be overly noticeable compare to the much closer engine noise that the people in the truck would already be hearing.

Now a chainsword striking something it cannot harm, like a large rock, might make more of a noticeable noise, to the detrement of the chainsword.

Likewise the flash from a sudden large burst of flame and the reflection in mirror might be noticed.

Or maybe you see if anybody still aboard David has a means of making a loud (and preferably none threatening) sound.

External Loud Speakers on David?

Not as far as I am aware, at least there isn’t anything on the model that jumps out at me as a speaker.

I would imagine it does have a horn though, and I can even  see it having a klaxon on the principle that it is designed to be used in hazardous environments.

Thinking about it a bit more, even if the Goliath does not have external loud speakers it probably has a handheld megaphone in storage amongst the general equipment list.

Further food for thought, go by foot and leave some behind to guard David, or take David?

It's a bit obvious on the way in and still pretty shot up. Given the lack of mounted weapons it wouldn't be much more than cover and we probably don't want it shot up any more than it already is.

So I see the plan as Ravia, Varn, Helene and Aria go and have a look and Kasimir stays with David.

Good with everybody?

@BadgersinHills Not sure how busy you are at the moment, if you want Ariel to go with the others to invetigate then shout up, otherwise I'll keep her with Kasimir guarding David.

Sorry Tro, Didn't realize I had to call out the specific actions I was taking. You can count Helene as a full move forward, just walking cautiously

No worries, I have adjusted the map slightly to show Helene having moved up a bit more, but as you are all sneaky and careful a low action round seems fitting.

  • 2 weeks later...

The hand of the Deacon stretches far, intent on the destruction of the party.

Ambush, rout and escape.

Capture of Colm and townsfolk that interacted with the party.

All from a chance encounter with the Deacon in church as he glanced over Aria and marked her abhorrent voider heritage.

Good job the Hu found us and we didn't have to search her out in the Marketplace.

Ravia isn't strong enough to risk it, Kaz is probably the only real choice. Is it worth it to risk our people though? Maybe just a mercy shot through the head...

Kasimir and Airel are unfortunatly back with David. They can not get here in time to help, even if they drive david at top speed.

As for Mercy kill, if that iswhat you all think is best then go ahead.
