I'd like to get another's input before just going ahead and blasting- Ravia is a tech-priest, so views human life rather differently than others.

Makes sense, although Helene would definitely attempt to save the man. She will go in, although assistance would be appreciated. Can I make the rolls and then we Resolve assistance afterwards @Trokair?

Yea, go ahead and make the rolls, and then if anbody wantos to assit they cna make their rolls.

 

you cna make them in story with some narration or out here and we peace it all togeter afterwards.

With 5 DoF, I think the “Search and Rescue” ship has sailed. Might be able to avoid some flame damage with the assist though

Ack, apologies- I will do the rolls tonight for retrieving spart parts/heavy stubber. I thought I already had, but apparently didn't.

What is everybody’s intention? Extended salvage and/or take the heavy stubber and mount it on David. Or just take what you could salvage in the time before David arrive and hurry on now that the others have caught up...

 

Some other couse of actions I have not thought of?

Seems unlikely that the attackers would return, and from the air David would look like another wreck amongst group. If others were to come investigating it would stand to reason they were not aligned with those who already attacked.

So I just realised that none of you have Heavy Weapon Training (SP) to use the Heavy Stubber.

 

Kasimir and Ariel have unspent XP and could in theory get it as a rank 2 Guardsmen upgrade. 

 

@TechCaptain, @BadgersinHills are either of you in a poisition to lead you character again in the near future? 

 

If not then I guess I will arbitarily spen XP for one of you so that the team can use their new aquisition.

The man that Varn robbed at the start of the expedition?

Josiepth is the trooper Varn pickpocketed at the beginning; he was also part of Sergeant Rahul’s squad.

 

When they first arrived at the lakeside Rahul had ordered him to help the player party load the found objects onto David, and once the ambush started (at Rahul’s orders) took off in David. A few rounds in, Josiepth existed David in haste and now injured. He was neither amongst the dead after the combat ended, nor had he gotten on the Valkyrie when it retrieved Rahul and the survivors.

Further to this, as I have not heard from either, I spent some of Kasimir’s XP as he had the better ballistic skill. The team now have a Heavy Stubber gunner (when he isn’t charging at the enemy with his oversized sword).

 

 

I’ll move us on story wise over the weekend; it is time to get into the mountains proper.

It took me a few days, but day 17 is now fully up

 

 

 

Also with the Holidays approaching I just wanted to check if everybody is happy to continue play over the festive days or if anybody wanted to pause for little bit. Let me know.

Forbidden Lore (Xenos), A pass is one point of corruption and you get the memory, a fail is one point of insanity and you get a bag of trauma. If you want to refresh your (player) memory look to early to mid October in the IC thread, page 17.

I like your reasoning, but I do have to point out you are at this point pretty far from civilisation. Getting Colm to a medical facility will be quite the detour.

Looks like we are going with seek cover down slope in the forest and prepare for an ambush. I’ll prepare the map accordingly.

 

 

Current Initiative

Varn =12

Aria = 11

Ravia =9

Kasimir = d10: 7 +2 = 9

Ariel = d10:4 +2 =6

 

Helene = TBD

 

I currently plan to have Kasimir man the Heavy Stubber and Ariel sitting in David’s driver’s seat. However you wish for one or both to be elsewhere in the ambush set up just let me know. For example Kasimir could be somewhere with his giant sword to try and flank the adversary.
