Blimey, when I asked about joining the dog pile I was thinking of the mob of Astartes ganging up on that poor Ogryn... but massacring the Ratings does feel like something Vesalius would do! :D

That was my original plan, but then I decided I didn't want to stop Vesalius's forward momentum... Or to steal Svelk's thunder vs the bullgryn.

Edit: also I completely missed the note about the ratlings surrendering. Oops.

My (digital) dice continue to confound me, but I shall prevail nonetheless.

Into the pile!

@Necro -  Bravo! Keep us all guessing to the last. Vesalius' origins - Raven Guard or Nomad Predation Fleet.

I thought that Radago was chaos but Mazer said that he was probably just Ancient Sobeck's take on a Space Shark.

Now we have an evil bitter assassin Vesalius enforcing the fact that 40K is grimdark with no fluffy notions of surrender, everyone is as bad as each other.

@Lysimachus - Somehow I thought that you meant that you were referring to the Bullgryn. Anyway that combat should be shorter with the arrival of Decimus.

@Beren - Ganging Up at three to one increases the modifier to +20.

Oooh, some interesting guesses there! :D ;)

Yep, I think we'll let Svelk get in his Turn, and the Bullgryn a swing back (if it survives), but then after that I'll end Structured Time and you can finish off the dregs of the enemy narratively?

So much for that then, and here I thought we might be able to get some intelligence out of them, or even just replenish the losses to the crew if we can get them to swear allegiance. I assume that most of them will have been press ganged into navy service, so might be willing to change masters.

Hey Tro, I actually think this lays the groundwork for interesting roleplay opportunities for Brynjarr and Vesalius, particularly in the future...

When Orphiel finally decides to do something, playing you all off against each other, in a terrible Machiavellian scheme.

Ahem...what was I saying?  Oh yes:

There are still Ratings alive (I think Ratings B?), so your lad could do his thing, interposing himself at the last minute with the last stragglers as he watches the Apothecary butcher the others?  A "you shall not have them" deal?  We are moving into narrative time.

Thoughts?

EDIT: @MG, yes a bloody ingenious take on a Space Shark at that!

@Mazer - The problem is my Thunder Hammer needs to be introduced and I've already rolled the Krak Grenade damage against the Stormtrooper...

I've added the final Summary for Round 3, so Svelk can roll his Dodge at the same time as his attacks.

Obviously, though, if he does enough damage (20 wounds) to take down the Bullgryn before it can hit back, I'll edit that out of the Summary.

And yep there are still a few Ratings out there that can surrender. Based on the Lysimachus-pattern method (;)) of 3 MAG = 1 dude on the map, there are 5 Ratings left in Squad B, 3(ish) in Squad C, and two-thirds of a Stormtrooper still standing! (I guess he's wounded but not quite out of it yet?)

All according to plan...

I think I may have earned us negative cohesion. :X

@Necro - Nah, you're good (If you will excuse the pun). 40K isn't fluffy nor was 30K, The Emperor was a git who who got things done by smashing Lots of things To Get It Done!

I think I may have earned us negative cohesion. :X

Yea, there is some discord there at the moment. Though I trust Brynjarr is too much of a professional to let that affect the squad during combat situations.

Will see how this develops.

Great posts everyone! We seem to be moving on narratively, so I'll end Structured Time to continue the story.

Beren, if you still want to add rolls for Svelk's attacks or Dodge, please feel free, but otherwise we can all do more stuff back in narrative time?

I wish it to be known that the views expressed in the IC thread by my characters may not reflect my actual views, and that I genuinely like Brynjarr as a character. Vesalius is a homicidal maniac who happens to take up some space in my brain and use excess bandwidth from time to time. Sorry if my writing came across as particularly harsh or especially negative as directed towards Trokair/Brynjarr, I'm trying to work through some things with this character and it just made sense narratively to me.
