Do we know US pricing yet, or are we still guessing based on prices in Europe?

No guesses, it's whatever you paid for Indomitus/ dominion :smile.:

What about the books individually?

Compendium is standard codex price. Unsure on the rulebook off hand.

Yep big same, though they do seem keen to keep the compendium stuff absurdly secret its certainly giving me the impression thats all index level get you by lists with minimal gear and no specialists and the lists like Krieg and Kommandos are the more exciting full kits future.

Soon they will reveal a "road map" for KT and maybe we will see pictures of new kits/squads too Edited by Master Sheol

New WarCom article confirms new Kill Team 'warzones' each quarter:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/08/12/octarius-is-just-the-beginning-for-a-new-age-of-kill-team/

So, presumably that means:

- New faction specific Kill Team kits

- Supplements?

- Terrain sets

Having new miniatures and terrain specific for this game is something that pleases me greatly (due to the massive soft spot I have for this game), my only concern is that this is becoming a game where you have to buy each subsequent release to have all the rules. I did like the fact the previous edition had everything in one book (or two, if you wanted to run Elites).

I really like this line.

We can’t tell you too much more right now, but you can expect a conveyor belt of new kill teams with plenty of customisable options.

So new Kill Team kits for (hopefully) all factions every quarter along with the new war zones. Probably two per quarter/war zone, at the minimum. That's fantastic news.

Somewhat proving the problems with roadmaps, ive now got no desire to buy anything in wave 1 of kill team if there is going to be a box with potentially more useful terrain and teams coming in a couple of months, and then again a couple of months after that.

Well, unless the compendium blows me out of the water but as i said earlier, major temporary index vibes so far.

I think this is awesome news, but it's also bad news for my chances of preordering Octarius. I'd rather just wait it out and get a Killzone with one of my core factions. I also see this being an avenue to for a ton of kits to get updated

Assuming these boxsets aren't OCDonutSteal Kill-Team only affairs, this might be a good way of getting sporadic unit updates for things like Aspect Warriors or new units for armies that need them like GSC.

I could easily see Space Marine Scouts and Eldar Warp Spiders being released in this format like Kommandos were for example, or a new GSC unit entirely.

This does make me not want to fork over for the Compendium now though. I'll just run Veteran Guardsmen until the dedicated GSC team inevitably launches.

The problem is you can always put stuff off. There will always be new rules and stuff coming.

If you don't like the octaruius contents there's no point buying but if you like the models and terrain then it's still worth grabbing :)

I thought they might go with the quarterly model, to be honest - it's worked out well enough for Necromunda.

This doesn't really change any of my current purchasing plans for the current release slate, however - I'll still be doing a Gland Warriors team. But it's nice to have a vague idea of how frequently they'll be dropping updates so I can better plan future spending.

A few reviews have pretty much said this - factions won't get their 'proper' Kill Team rules until they get their kit/supplement - one reviewer made the comparison between the Compendium and the Indices at the start of 8th 40k.

Thos doesn't bother me so much, as at least I'll be able to get some compatibility with the new game and the existing Kill Teams I've made and painted (10 and counting )

I'll still be getting the compendium, even if it ends up being Index 2.0. I have two core factions (SoB and TS/CSM Renegades) but ai also have various random squads from years of collecting and kitbashing. Scions with Adrian helmets, Victoria Miniatures guardsmen, GSC kitbashed from a single Acolyte hybrid box and Kairic Acolyte bodies, etc. The compendium will let me play with any of these, and I can't be the only ADD collector here

Tentatively, this is good news. It's roughly the level of support I had anticipated. What remains to be seen is how GW chunks it.

Ideally, you want a limited launch box that includes both teams, the terrain, and all the rules for everything + the campaign material. But along side that, you should be able to buy each team with it's rules in an individual box, and the terrain in a box with its rules and the campaign material as separates. Some quarters you might want only one of the teams. Some quarters you might only want the terrain.

If only the big box is available, that's rough, and it's going to hurt them- people who only want one of the 3 sets of models (KT 1, KT 2, Terrain) probably won't buy. People who want 2/3 MIGHT buy, depending on how badly they want the 2/3. Obviously, folks who want 3/3 will go all in.

If only the separates are available that's a bit rough too because there's no opportunity for a discount; it will hurt them, but not as much as it would if the big box was the only option.

Now what's likely to happen given GW marketing is that the big box is available in the first week of the quarter. The separates will come the following month.

Then there's the question of when/ how/ if the 40k rules for this material will be available.

Having said all of that, no matter how they choose to do it, this level of support is far better than no support, or inconsistent support, so ultimately this is good news at least... And if they get it right, it's GREAT news!

I imagine they will release new killzone boxes. I would like a sector imperialis killzone box pretty much.

Curious to see how they implement new models. Maybe they will use the opportunity to update older kits, like an eldar aspect warrior killteam of say, warp spiders? then the kit can be used in 40k.

There was a rumour of new cadians with a more veteran feel in 2022, so maybe that starts as a new killteam. The upgrade sprue they ship now with the cadian squad can be reused too.

The bad news is that every new kit means an obvious price increase, I imagine they will be in the $45-60 US dollars price range. Well, I suppose you can't have new models without new prices.

Price increases suck, but going from fine cast to modern plastic? Yeah I’d pay it

Oh ive got a tonne of Kill teams, co wrote a Heresy expansion to the last version even. Im just not keen on paying for something so low effort when Battlescribe and games-workshop will cover them fine and i can save that money for a more involved product.

Big question is will the kill zones be a box with campaign book plus terrain sans rulebook OR also including 2 new kill teams?

My guess is the latter as theres more profit in that. Then the teams come out separately 4-6 months later.

Plus 40k campaign books and crusade packs dont seem to be doing great

My guess? A box with a board and some terrain (most likely terrain we have had before re-released), a book and two kill teams pr quarter.

Terrain does sell really well with discounts

Heres a thought. Very rare that theres a box with 2 non Imperial factions. Marines sell well...KT warzone boxes the way to introduce faction specific primaris.

That would sell
