I think I managed to get one but it was very buggy this go around. I wish they’d just have released them in the leather cover version last with and without signatures. So if you wanted a collectors item you could go for it but if you just wanted the cool book you wouldn’t be under so much pressure.

Was scrolling through the preview images now that my copy is safely acquired and I just have to say.

Anyone else notice that Zephon is insanely pretty? Like, yes BAngel but I saw the bust my first impression was 'oh, who is she? I can't recall that pretty a description for a female character in quite some... wait... ZEPHON?'

I lowkey want someone to comment on him getting exiled for being prettier than Sanguinius now and that the faulty bionics were just a cover story lol.

Also, I somehow love the literal nails on that one World Eater.

Its pretty great to have confirmation that some of ADBs best mortals will make a showing. I look forward to having the Mechanicum PoV be taken out of context despite ADB desperately discouraging it for decades to come! :D

Got one - though had to check back every hour... as only just went live. And got a pal in NYC picking it up for me. ;-)

I can’t believe authors who currently work for BL can’t just be sent a copy!

Got it. It’s times like these that I appreciate living in America. We got a whole 4 minutes before it sold out. That’s practically luxurious compared to the UK.

Hopefully only one more of these, they sell out so much faster than the other limited editions.

Bright side of the race to get them is that hey, you now have a snazzy collection and if you are ever short on finances you can sell them for like a 500% profit off of what you spent lol.

At this rate collecting BL Limited editions is becoming a hilariously profitable hobby. Don't like a book? Congratz you just financed the next 6, one of which you will surely like.

I'm re-reading Master of Mankind and Jaya remarks how beautiful he is.

Looks like another area the model missed the mark on lol.

Heads up: The ebook is, like usual these days, already available on preorder start, rather than next weekend. There be spoilers online from here on!

Time to hunker down for the coming week when it comes to this book.

...meanwhile, I'll probably finally get around to finishing Warhawk...

I’m not technically minded, so can anyone tell me why some folks had issues with the site crashing but I and others had no site issues at all. I dont have a crazy speedy broadband and have had issues in the past with the site crashing when it’s busy. Why sometimes for some people and not others? Sorry if this isn’t strictly relevant

Can anyone please explain how I gain access to the ebook?  I’m desperate to start it!

Certain retailers, releases BL on the day they go on preorder normally. Or you can "Sail the Seas" and get it that way.

Got you - well if anyone comes across a retailer who is selling the ebook now, please let me know!  I couldn’t find any hits when using google shopping search.

This book made me finally get off my lazy behind, fail at logging into my account ( its been 10 years since i accessed that email, how did we go from username to email?) give up and make a new one.

I finished it about a hour ago, it is for BL standard a masterpiece,  for the HH standards it is burdened by the mistakes made earlier in the series, by authors, editors and the story team itself.

How does one do the eternity gate with Sangunius traditional story arc in tatters? ( Thank god they kept swallow away from this and the primarch book).

How does one write a book around a legion in a 50 book series that has 0 character growth, 0 history and 0.5 story lines to grown on AND deal with the siege?

How does one do the above and deal with the latest Abnett created sub stories about immortal mortals running thru the warp that never existed untill he made them up and rammed them into everything? Oh and the non warp magic language that totally needed to be inserted into the heresy 2 books from the end?

ABD found a way, i dont remember how spoilers work so i wont go into details, but the in broad strokes this book succeeds in drawing a basic outline of the 9th legion ( tho why we had to wait to the Siege for this is...anyhow). Paint a detailed overall view of the strategic situation of the siege, how things stand and where all the major players are. Give a multi leveled view of the events ( so mechanicum, marines, army, primarchs, titan legions, navy etc) all while keeping the story moving in one GIANT door shaped direction. It did it while building suspense, over the situation, over specific characters and over coming set pieces. It faced the utter mess of the Angels overall storyline head on and overcame it in as best way as anyone could. It gave both sides cool moments, characters and situations.

It did all this by dealing with what in my view is the sieges biggest problems, too many side story lines. I dont care if you love or hate, perpetuals, katsuhiro (sp?) Arda, Vulka, et all. But ultimatly they were just too many threads getting in the way of what to me should be the main event THE SIEGE.  My favorite books in the series so far ( Saturnine and Warhack)  are the ones that manage to always make you feel like no matter what this is a giant apocalyptic war, the siege of all sieges, and EoE is now the third book to be added to my personal must read siege book list.  So how did the mad lad deal with it? Easy you just 100% totally ignore half the side stories/characters and get on with the main event.  This is going to rankle some feathers but hot damn did i find it liberating. Every single side story or character is directly tied to the main story, not in some obscure you will find out in 5 books way. But directly tied, the characters may not know but we do.

I waited 50 book ( more if we count the siege and novellas) but finally we get to SEE Sanguinius live up the hype, the stories, the legend, Finally we see the being that 10k years after his death his brothers, sons, aliens compare themselves to and find themselves wanting. Why of all the primarchs HE is the one that gets the sci fi Easter/x-mas holiday.  Why his temples rise highest and why his loss bites the deepest. This is HIS book and he us not only written well but used sparingly for great pars of it, making his appearances all the better for it. He is tired, wounded, fed up and ultimately angry. But in how he deals with it all we see why so many in universe thought him the best of them all.

Forgive the rambling tone and spelling, i am 3 white russians into a very relaxed Sunday, if someone can remind me how spoilers work  i am more then happy to give details of anything anyone wants but ultimately i say this as someone who got the LE edition,  This was a great read and a fantastic follow up to the previous entry, now for Dan to rein his worse habbits in and stick the landing.

Thanks for your thoughts. May I ask you some questions?

First, does Angron fights with Sanguinus?

Second, How much weight does Vulkan have? Does he have a new story?

Third, Does Guilliman enter the solar system at the end?

4th, How many times do the main characters(marines, primarch...) fight each other?

5th, What happens to Zephon at the end?

I'd appreciate it if you could answer.

Do you know how to do spoilers, dont think going into those points without spoilers is wise.

I don't care about spoilers. Can you answer me? If you don't want to be specific, you can answer very simply.

There should be an "eye" symbol in the editor, press that and it should make a spoiler tab for you.
