Currently circulating via Games Workshop's social media channels - such as Instagram and Twitter. Comes with the hashtag #SpaceMarineRitual. I'd hazard it's either a Space Marine 2 related teaser, or something fresh animation-wise - maybe from Syama Pedersen?

The accompanying text says "An incredible piece of Warhammer 40,000 lore, like you've never seen it before" - based on that, maybe an adaptation of some thing from Black Library; perhaps announcing a series coming to Warhammer+?

And this?

EDIT: Okay, one of the <Mark of NDA> accounts also says "Warhammer Animation Studio has been hard at work creating something extra special!" So, probably NOT Space Marine 2 related, unless it's a cutscene for the game created by the internal animation studio.

Seen some people theorising it'll be a female Space Marine reveal, thus them hyping it up.

Rate that about as likely as GW revealing that Space Marines are actually 3 Ratlings in a trench coat.

We’ll I’m excited! That animation looks beautiful if it’s an Astartes going through the ritual of donning amour it’ll be cool to see

Edit

Ok so saw the Tale of painters confirmed it is, this should be Sweet!!!!

I think its a pretty safe bet that its gonna be an animation for WH+, perhaps even a  movie BUT what if its like the Kill Team animation? A trailer for an upcoming release? What if this is the revamp of the old guard into the new Primaris era? A new Tactical marine kit or perhaps not just that but a new Tactical/Devastator/Assault/Terminator to finish the Primaris line? Maybe its too much too soon but I like to dream big!.

GW: “let’s do endtimes for WH40k again, but with the *intention* of killing the story, this time!”
