Id also say, making a single meme model for a skirmish game and relaunching a whole plastic range for your flagship game are wildly different propositions.

Well that there were 2 not just 1. I also don't think they are meme models, but that's my opinion.

However, in keeping with GW's "fantasy gibberish" naming convention, how about we go with something equally dignified: "Dwarrufs"

It's wise for companies to actually follow through on their jokes about stuff - remember pokemon go started as an April 1st gag?

 

This is definitely an april fools message, however GW *have* to be working on Squats. Remember the plastic Thunderhawk in the april video that came true...

 

Gmail launched on April Fool’s. 1 GB of free email storage legitimately seemed like a joke.

Evil theory I saw but am not a fan of: Space Hulk but its a team of Squats

If that is the case they would have shown the Squat boarding a Space Hulk, not just a derelict vessel.

True. Unless they played fast and loose with definition of hulk, or just set on derelict ship

 

If they did Squats v new Genestealer models I would assume said new nid models would be very popular

Squat vs Tyranid in a Kill-Team box seems more likely than Space Hulk, particularly when they already did some starship terrain for KT: Rogue Trader.

My guess. Maybe Tyranids or GSC or both. Claw pointed out by people already, the stabbed captain (?) might imply mutiny or traitors/cultists.

Q2 Killteam box, maybe May or June. Setting, that derelict ship.

Def not meme models since Necromunda mentions the state of the leagues acting as mercenaries and imperial auxilia as well as Squat prospector gangs working in the ash wastes and fallen hives in support of rebuilding the fleets. Groundwork is already been laid for thier return.
