Well, this is quite the suprise! I wasn't expecting this, especially with all the stiff competition! I enjoyed the event and was thankfull for the loads of motivation to complete a larger model in a reasonable timespan. I never expected to take the victory home, so I'm kinda at a loss for words!

Thank you BCK and everyone for the very kind words! You lads kept my motivation to paint high, so now I have to keep riding this wave to reduce my pile of shame even further (even though I ordered more tanks after all your marvelous paintjobs  ). I'll see you all at the next painting event

Raeven, yours is the model I would have voted for, so your win is well and honestly earned.  Congrats!

Thought I would share this here - I finally finished my Tyrant and pretty happy with it.  I'm glad I gave myself the extra time to finish it rather than doing a rush job that I would have ultimately been unhappy with.  Some of these pictures are similar to the ones above as I retook them when they showed parts that hadn't been finished being painted.

And finally, from infantry eye view:

He looks menacing as heck. It would have been a shame to rush the paintjob on such a massive kit, the extra work and time spend on it is well worth it!

We still have some unfinished entries that require pictures of the end result! The end of the event shouldn't mean the end of your painting lads!

Following up after Dr_Ruminahui posted his painted model, and with the below encouragements in mind, here's my update.

I love the look of that! Feel free to post it in here once you get it finished, but I will definitely keep an eye on your WIP thread.

As they say, better late than never. It turns out that even if I had the couple of days I lost within the framework of the challenge, I wouldn't have been able to finish on time. With my skill set, the scope of conversion work turned out to be overwhelming and, later, I got lost in painting the model. With all the devotion to the conversion I did, I also wanted to get the paintjob right.

You will find way more photos, including quite detailed WIP shots in my thread.

Thanks guys!  I too agree that it was worth finishing right rather than doing a job I would be unhappy with in a rush to finish for the event.

Brother Christopher, your box-dread redemptor is awesome - I could tell from your conversions that it was going to be special and you've done a fantastic job!
