I, Madao, embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of July pledge to complete three Crisis Battlesuits, one Broadside Battlesuit and Sanctus Administratum terrain by the month's end for the Greater Good.

Bit of a WIP for my Munda vehicle and part of my call to arms vow (the conversion challenge). 

It's a sump beast hunter, harpoon, flamer, grabber and chopping block. Plus various tentacles under processing.

2nd vow for the month ready. I, Lord_Ikka,  vow to paint for the month of July the following: 1 LT in Phobos armor (far right of pic), 3 Suppressors, 5 Terminators, a teleport homer, a Primaris Ancient, and a Chaplain in Terminator Armor.

After a month's break (wow, basically two months), I think I'm ready to get back into all this messy hobby-stuff with my unfinished Terminators, I think, from May.

The Argent Forge has been rekindled and the flame burning a little brighter.  In a week I have painted more then what I have in some previous months.  Firstly I completed my Thermic Plasma Conduits:

Before getting a start on Leviathan.  Excuse the washed out photo.  Taking photos by lamp light doesn't work over well.  Will try to get something by natural light to show the true colours.  So without further adieu

 

So, for my next trick I shall vow for the rest of the Month:

1x Winged Tyranid Prime

 

 

@GrotsmashaI noticed you don't have my Bladeguard of my Plodding Along vow completed.  I will need to review my vow if I can as what constitutes 2000pts is now different.  I will keep it as close as possible but will see how I go.

Few more to do before my call to arms vow is completed though.

My second vow for July is complete:

I also played my first game of Tenth.  Did the combat patrol sized forces from Leviathan.  Must say the Prime didn't deserve his paint job.  The Leapers certainly did.  I wish these photos showed off the green carapace more.  Looks a lot better in person.

 

Anyway the other models whom did well was the Terminators (pulping almost my entire Tyranid swarm) and the Librarian.  So on that note for a mad final attempt to make some progress on my huge plan/model goal I will vow one last model for July, A Terminator Librarian...

 

Wish me luck.  This is one mad detailed model.

Well that's as much as I'm getting done in July, everything vowed done apart from the thousand sons, who are really hurting from a combination of being really fiddly, the index sucking all of the interest out of them and me getting distracted....

And some experimental Tyranids, Not overly happy with how they look at the moment, hopefully some drybrushing over the purple and black to help pull some details back out of the darkness and then properly basing them up will improve them... I had forgotten how easily paint rubs off the wraithbone undercoat, so I'll need to re-do the base rims too.:

So I got all the infantry I had planned completed (5 termies, 5 infernus, 5 HH figures) and one of the characters (TDA Librarian) completed, but sadly my TDA Captain and Siege Dread are going to have to be pushed off to next month. With that in mind:

Yep, that's twice. I vowed for the Call to Arms and totally forgot to vow my two stumpy bois in this thread. 

 

Pics of the completed Kin I forgot to vow in the spoiler below; expect a jumping guy with grenades and a surly lad with some missiles.

 

 A leaping Grenadier (Might as well use that fancy kill team leg-on-rock bit for something) and a Gunner rocking the Hurricane Salvager carrying the L7 Missile Launcher. 

 

 A back shot featuring some really drunk-looking hazatd stripes

 



 

And another shot, showing off the fact hazard stripes are hard work. This took three tries and I eventually just had to go "good enough" and move on.
