For anyone who has read both the Son of the Forest and the narrative section in Arks of Omen The Lion, which would you recommend reading first? Thanks.

The Lion is my favorite primarch: I will definitely get around to listening to the story. Mike Brooks has been surprising me as a BL author, so I am intrigued to see what he has done with Jonson here. I have heard about Jonson forgiving the Fallen and this sounds like a bold and cool story choice. But oh, Azrael, Asmodai, Belial and friends are so not going to be happy lol.

Ive finished the audible book and have to say its fantastic.  Im not a Dark Angels fan in the least....in fact I consider their actions self serving and very much anti the Imperium by neglect.  Having read several of the HH books involving the Lion, I actually very much dislike the lion....tbh hes a complete bawbag during the HH. The author did a fantastic job making the Lion likeable, and surprised me.  The book itself uses lots of imagery/iconology to give several really big hints towards a quest he is being set by the Emperor, along the lines of the questing knight seeking the holy grail.  I really enjoyed it.

We've had a lot of bad authors for the Lion and his Legion TBH.

Glad to hear this one is great, maybe one day a paper version will be available for purchase... lolz
