Hey all - this might be a touch off topic so please zap if that's the case. I'll be out in the UK this summer and want to take advantage of the price savings relative to USD. I need some local help stretching the dollar as far as possible!

What FLGSs in the UK have reliable, quick shipping and the greatest % discount relative to Games Workshop? The plan is to have them shipped to where I'm staying during the trip.

Wayland Games

The Warp

Alchemist’s Workshop

Usually all 20% off.

My precious inquisatrix had gone into the city with her friend to pick up said friend’s fellow from the aeroport. She called me from the “local” warhammer store (it’s 2 hours away from us), asking what I wanted. Waking blearily from the sleep I had fallen into trying to put one of our spawn down for a nap, I confusedly mumbled something like “Battle Sisters are cool”.

I am now the proud owner of a new Battle Sister Squad:)

I could have used the new sm codex more I suppose, but that’s on me for letting my child put me for a nap instead of the other way around.

With apologies for muddying the water for @LittlePlasticHomies, some of the big UK FLGS only offer 20% off on preorders, and their regular listings often have lower discounts (15% or even 10% off RRP). Best bet is to have a look at the products you're interested in across a few different companies.

Add Goblin Gaming to the 20% off club as well.

Not for a while now: majority of stuff is 15% off, with some things even worse (Kroot Army set is 10% off for example). That said they do occasionally have items for even higher discounts (as much as 25%) for stuff they obviously bought way too much of. But on the plus side, their turnaround on order to shipping is really good, sometimes even same-day dispatch.

Hobby Workshop is one I use a lot, reliable shipping and quick turnaround, but again their discount percentage can vary between products.

One of the most consistent in offering high level of discount is Dark Sphere, which has vast majority of items at a flat 20% off (even brand new high demand stuff that other stores opportunistically lower their discounts on), but they are also one of the only ones that don't operate a free shipping threshold so their effective discount is a little lower than that.

Also depends WHERE you’re staying, as chances are you could go to one in person.

Good call, although again be mindful that some stores offer a lower discount in person than they do online (the store has running costs to cover, after all)

@littleplastichommies

If you will be in London,....

Darksphere is fairly easy to get to from Central London.

In person they will honor the 20% price if you spend over £100 though it can depend on the items sometimes.... You obviously then have 0 delivery cost. (you can also order for collection so you can guarantee what you are going to be able to get vs chancing their stock)
....However, their opening hours may not fit with your trip so check in advance as they dont follow typical retail hours.

Resurrecting this thread with my latest haul as I try to beat the price rise and begin my journey of a full 1,000 model Horus Heresy Imperial Fists collection. Incidentally trying to get hold of HH stock is bad. GW has done an incredibly poor job of stocking the HH kits.

8 Leviathan Dreadnoughts

1 Land Raider Spartan

8 Contemptor Dreadnoughts

3 Scorpius Missile Tanks

Special Weapon Upgrade Sprue x2

Heavy Weapon Set x5 (mixed)

MKVI Assault Squad x3

MKVI Tactical Squad x3

MKIII Tactical Squad x2

Fafnir Rann

Legion Praetor with Power Sword

Legion Praetor with Power Axe

Legion Consul and Chaplain

Land Raider Proteus x2

Sicaran Battle Tank x2

Kratos Heavy Assault Tank x2

Deredo Dreadnought x2

Demios Patter Predator Support Tank x4

Sky Hunter Squadron x2

They're going to have to start the process again after that haul! My word. I hope you're a quick painter, that lot would take me a couple of years to get through at least.

@Doobles57 I'm not super quick but the Imperial Fists are my only project. If it does last me a few years all the better :)

Also today I added a Typhon Heavy Siege Tank to the stockpile.

Almost every purchase in theast 10 years, occasionally I come across unbuilt units I'd completely forgotten about!

I found 80 mk3 Marines from the 2016 sets the other day.

Few other units amongst that too!

As I am currently tackling the AoD box from two years ago it felt like a good idea to buy the remaining models for 30k to complete the three lists which were written a few months ago. These were:

- Two 30K Apothecaries.

- 30K Esoterist.

- Ferrus Manus.

Recent trip to Warhammer World for me and the younglings, and picked up these two sets for my chapter. Been looking at either these or the dark angels as I' going to paint the cloth tartan.

The boys got a new terminator librarian, and a starter paint set with the 3 infernus marines. Obviously the youngest now wants orks, so he's got a box of nobs for his birthday.

Haven't been hobbying for a bit, but I made a "safety purchase" of a single Death Rider.

I say safety purchase, because FW, specifically imperial armour, does look grim lately.

Why one? Just to use as a conversion base for a death rider commissar.
I have the tank commander commissar doing nothing at the moment.

Got myself another lot of the HH heavy weapons & special weapons boxes, along with two extra command sets. Fancied making myself a jump pack Command Squad with the new Mk VIs, along with a Despoiler squad (Mk VI Assault squad arms on Mk VI bodies). Have to say I really like the new command squad kits. Still not happy assembling all those studded pauldrons from separate halves though. Also have to say the new Mk III kit really isn't bad for a monopose kit. Still prefer the old one though! :D

Looks like some Mk IVs as well. Lucky!

I encountered some internet only discounts from a shop in Madrid:

- 2 Sydonian Dragoons

- 2 Serberys Raiders

- 2 GSC Neophyte Hybrids

- 1 set of KT Termination Plasma Generatorium

Everything between 30 and 40%  discount vs GW webstore prices before June price hike (estimated for the Generatorium). Couldn´t miss it.

Also added in the GW store some Online only stuff: Yvraine, the Yncarne and a Vyper.

Based on delivery dates, some of these will probaby be on time for enlisting a second vow for CTA24 in August (and with good margin to allow its completion before mid June) - I bet for the AdMech stuff as GW tracking indicates so far 16 days before delivery.
