While I had managed to paint the Catacomb Command Barge by January 8, I didn't get around to posting any photos on here, so I accept the loss of January. At any rate, here he is, Lord Rha of the Ost'en'tarek Dynasty, the so-called 'Golden Lord'.

 

 

 

After that I got caught up painting 28 Dark Elves for a Warhammer Fantasy event on February 3rd and painted no more 40k unfortunately. But I have plenty to vow for this month!

It is rare I finish a model and am so completely unhappy with it but:

 

 

Done... I take no joy in the model or finishing it but, I suppose, its a model I will rarely field as I don't like them at the best of times.  Doesn't help by son took of with some of the parts (stupid hoses that connect the necron to the bike).  Yes, the same son that has repeatedly destroyed my models.  A moment of laxity spawns a life time of getting my models destroyed and all that...

 

Anyway, I will get a new vow up later tonight.

 

Going to have another crack at the two hour challenge with this guy:

Little disappointed with the result due to my white paint being buggered and as such I cant get the lines as good as I'd like.  But overall I can survive with this being just over two hours of work.  I am working on a table top good standard for my Necrons as I honestly hadn't considered re-collecting them since they got completely changed in the fluff from when I used to get them.  Still I love Tomb Spyders and Wraiths so thats at least something.  Probably my favourite necron units actually.

 

Now that brings my up to where I want to be with Imperium (ignoring the ones I put into my Plodding Along) so now I need to decide what to tackle next.  Thinking I might sleep on it.

Okay, slight change in plan. I'm reading Mike Brooks' Brutal Kunnin' right now (it's great, GREAT fun, btw. Highly recommended!) and it's left me with no interest at all in painting weedy blue gitz like T'au. With that in mind, I'm adding a couple of trukks and a Boomdakka Snazzwagon to my pledge for February. Also, WAAAGH!

Some progress for my Feb vow, with the Mago Dominus completed:

This month´s second miniature, an ooP EPIC Reaver titan, is also well advanced. While thinking of a scheme since Nov 2023, I finally decided for one 2 days ago and main colours have been applied within a couple of hours. Next steps are stripes (Hi there masking tap...) and detailling bronze parts and purity seal. And basing.

 

As for the plodding, some progress was reported in my blog. While tiping this post I am at the same time glueing the Bheta Decima pillars. Half an hour ago I also primed some Ryza pattern STC with a Vallejo field grey spray. Result is looking  rather greenish than greyish... But we´ll see once dry and at full day light.

 

PS: In my plodding I marked Nachmund set, while it is, in fact, Moroch set... Just to be exact for miniatures´ references.
