He's aiming?

Yeah, but it seems such an un-Astartes thing to do - He looks as if he's almost sticking his tongue out with it as well. Otherwise looks great, though!

Iron Hands should wear helmets anyway to hide their humanity.

Not the most familiar with his lore, but the scheme is throwing me off. Iron hands aren't gun metal; they're black with silver trim and use white as an accent colour. This isn't "oily black" or whatever, and the use of actual black confuses things further.

Model itself is cool, and glad iron hands have their first non primarch special character

I'm really glad to see  a shattered legion finally getting a bit of love, but i don't really like the model tbh, the pose and squint aren't doing it for me, would've preferred something more tragically heroic. I agree with @SkimaskMohawk re: paintjob, not sure why he's gunmetal rather than black

Looks great! I think with only a small amount of work you could easily replicate the Meduson book cover pose. Swap the boltgun arm for an outstretch empty hand, and raise the right arm and sword a bit and it should be sorted.
Not a fan of the head but thats a very easy fix!

Great paint job on the head, not sure if the whole thing works but some great details.

I suspect the paint scheme is from the folks who are desperately adding metallics to every scheme they possibly can, they started with the Ksons and Alpha Legion but did you think theyd stop there? :P

Winky face is a little odd, but nice to see something different. Other than that it's slam dunk. Awesome model. No idea how I'd use it in my existing armies, but I'm very tempted to try.

EDITED to add

Ref comments on the colour scheme. Forgeworld always painted their HH Iron Hands in a gunmetal scheme rather than black. See the Gorgon Terminators for example https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/Iron-Hands-Legion-Gorgon-Terminators-FW?queryID=ef7f3d7518c469bafaa2ca3590fbdfff

Near enough perfect as far as I'm concerned! Loads of character and excellent details.

I've been considering a small Heresy Iron Warriors force too keep using the Predator Annihilators I've got planned for a 40k IH force once Rhino hulls are removed from 40k. But think its a certainty now so I can get my (iron) hands on this model!

I think they've just looked at the (only) art of Meduson and tried to stick close to that just because GW/FW have painted Iron Hands more ways than there are shades of 'unpainted ceramite' at this point. Even at the start of 2.0 they had two different 'Eavy Metal schemes on the go (jet black with blue trim and the semi-metallic version), nevermind the various 40k paint jobs and the OG oily-black from FW.

These characters have been really solid, and he is the best of the bunch. Nice to see Iron Hands get their character, but hopefully they won’t be afraid to revisit Istvaan so Santar can get a sick model that can be the basis of conversions and kitbashes.

That just leaves Horus Aximand before the pre-order then. Hopefully on the 16th.

That there's old-fangled M.30 aiming lad, not this high-speed aim by frown these young whippersnappers like Cato 'Costa' Sicarius do...

He should. +1 to Hit, ignores Cover.

Been looking for official art of Aximand as they've been very faithfully reproducing those in mini form:

Expecting a lot of swirly bits on the armour and a big two handed sword based on what there is. Also curious to see if it will be pre or post stitches.

Ugh, I like the overall model, but the head is such a "tell me you know nothing about marksmanship without saying a word" moment. He's not at the Terran Olympic Team, ya dolts.

The TL;DR is mostly this, but not only that.

Pretty sure the Imperium's favourite pastime of 'hunting heretics for sport' was started by pioneers like Meduson.
