@Mazer Rackham if that's the number of Grey Knight halberds you're about to attempt to ram into my character's spleen unprovoked, then you can expect a strongly worded letter to the site administrator on my behalf from my attorney!

'Dear Sirs,

I'm Psaul Goodlyman. Did you know my client's spleen has rights? Imperial Law says it does. Is it a crime to want an unbifurcated spleen? Is this unprovoked bifurcation of spleens common board policy? What risk assessments have you conducted? Have you even done focus group studies?

Yours, yadda yadda.'

++++++

'Dear Mr Goodlyman,

Whilst we cannot confirm or deny bifurcation, I must remind you that when your client signed up to the Red Corsairs, he filled and filed all insurance waivers for insertions, excisions, replacements, pontifications and splenectomies via halberd.

We thank you for your interest,

Sincerely...'

Here's hoping Atesh fumbles a Peril of the Warp and summons us a Tzeentchian skyshark!!!

Edit to include a question:  How does our inventory work?  Do I actually have the stuff in my char sheet?  Or do I have everything except the laspistol?

I think you'd have had the laspistol taken away when you got put in prison, but I figure clothing and the other small stuff (like your lighter) you'd have managed to keep hold of? What else is in your inventory? Possibly some stuff could be picked up soon, looted from the prison warders squad? (if you survive the skyshark! )

That makes perfect sense and was the reason for my confusion.  Just wanted to double-check before I wrote how I whipped out a las pistol and fired off shots at the guards.

Just a timely reminder that a TPK has already been narrowly avoided after summoning a BDSM-obsessed Greater Daemon, so if you do strike Perils, Fabius, the GD/GM rolls.*

* = 14 Skysharks....

Oh, trust me, there's plenty of folks adding their own layers of comedic chaos.

You'll fit right in.

Plenty of time for Skysharks.

Hang on, hang on, Im not 100% on Psy stuff in BC, but that was a Pass wasn't it?

You get +10 to Focus Power Tests for having your lighter (a psy focus) , taking your target up to 63.

Then, even if you chose to go Fettered (making your Psy Rating = 2), you'd get a +5 for each Psy Level, so another +10.

That makes your target 73, and your roll of 67 a Pass (with a minimal 1DoS, but a Pass is a Pass)

However, you were concerned about a Perils Test, so I'm assuming you were at least going Unfettered, if not Pushing, so the DoS should be even higher?

Edit: If you Pushed to the max extra 5 Psy Ratings for a total Psy Rating of 8, that would give you a target of 103, meaning your roll of 67 would have given you 4DoS and 2 Hits? Some risk there for Phenomena/Perils, but possibly worthwhile?

Omg looks like I missed a whole bunch of stuff.  Allow me to fix.  I was unfettered; I completely forgot what the psy focus did.

I need to improve my cheat sheet OneNOte.  So it'd be whole psy rating of 3 yes?

@Iron Father Ferrum I guess you're trying to hit them as a group, rather than aiming for one of them in particular, so we'll call it a small Horde (+10 to Hit). Range-wise you're probably a bit over Short but nowhere near high enough to be at Long, so no mods either way there.

The factory itself is pretty big, but you aren't necessarily right at the top - there will be gantries, etc at various levels.

On this occasion, for rule-of-cool sake, we'll assume you are low enough to drop down without injuring yourself!

Oh crud. I totally read the ! as a 1, and the roll as 01.

Right. It wasn't a massive deal as far as the story goes (the cultists might have lost a few more men, but they'd still have made it into CC) so I'm going to take it as a GM error for misreading it, apologise to everyone, and move along as we are.

No backsies occasionally benefits players as a balance for sometimes missing out on stuff.

However, side point as I've been reminded - @Iron Father Ferrum your sheet seems to show 5 Infamy Points? It should be the same as the tens column of your Infamy value, so currently 2?

Also, I'm not sure if it's a carryover from a previous plan for Obadiah, but your Talents list seems to show the abilities for a Forsaken as well as a Chosen?

Mazer posted here in the OOC when I joined that campaign that starting players received five points of Infamy.  Unless that was supposed to go to the characteristic, which didn't seem like it made sense.

As for the Talents, I went through and modified what was in the sheet I was given to reflect what I'd get as a Chosen and as a Marine, then used my starting XP to buy a few characteristic improvements and a skill.  What's on there that shouldn't be?

I'm pretty sure it's +5 to the Characteristic to bring the new guys level with the existing players, but I'll let @Mazer Rackham answer that one.

I know Hagga (Infamy 30) has got 3 Inf Points, so if we've all got 5 I'm delighted!

On the first page, bottom right, Talents/Traits box - you've got Hatred, Jaded, Blindfight and Cold Hearted, which are the starting skills for the Forsaken Archetype, and then the ones for a Chosen as well?

Like I said, I assumed that was just a typo, that you'd starting building him as one Archetype and then changed your mind?
