Right then, gentlemen, we have an idea of the problems and situation facing you, and what is currently underway. Atesh and Mukta are toddling to Xerxes/Kraggan, and the latter two are busy fabricating your gubbins.

What are your immediate plans now for those who are free?

Do the Marine players* fancy a bit of a basement crawl? (I know Ukalegon is waiting on his JP, but it might not be that useful anyway if we're in the more cramped bits of the station, so might be better off without it?)

Could see if we could hunt down that Kelermorph that got away?

*edit: obviously, if Rakash (with Atesh?) wants to look at summoning/binding a nav-daemon, then we could go without him?

Ukalegon is also out of his Power Armour.

TBF that's not the real problem. The decision here if there is a sewer traipse to be had; does Ukie go in his loincloth, or cut off the Klingon on his starboard butt, and don his plate, or does he wait the four days it's going to take to get it modified before going on the bear hunt?

If he wants his tail lopping off, he needs to go and see Iscario ASAP, and it's going to take several hours (D3=2) before it heals sufficiently to strap on his steel breeks.

I'd vote for the power armoured cuirass and kilt look.

Agreed. One of the advantages of modern GW minis (like Primaris) is that you can see where on power armour is hard plates and where is the soft, flexible armour.

At the rear, you'd have the culet (the flat, overlapping hard plates) and beneath that the soft, ribbed undersuit. It shouldn't be too hard to cut a hole in that soft armour large enough for the tail to drop through (probably with some sort of airtight seal to tighten around the girth of the tail in order to maintain the armour's atmospheric integrity)

But no mods of the ceramite plates should be needed?

I'm just surprised that the GM didn't say that he could take his armour off!

I mean that it's a mutation of Space Marine and Power Armour. Just say that his brush with the Daemon has afflicted him with a small dose of flesh-metal.

To 40K paraphrase Mr J Cash:

"He's turning into an Obliterator. I'd get it one piece at a time"

@Machine God there is, in fact, a gift of the gods that is essentially flesh-metal:  Mechanoid. The gift grants you the machine trait like Mechanicus Assimilation (and most likely stacks with it), plus some extra goodies depending upon your alignment at the time.

Yeah I didn't particularly think it would take that long to create an, ahem, enhanced butt flap for Ukalegon, but so be it.

For Khorne follows specifically there is also 'skinhidden' plate, an upgrade you can take that merges your armour slowly with your body.

I'd be down for that.

On that note - Xerxes and Kraggan are not set up in the same location.

Xerxes is piecing together an Imperium-style forge, armoury, and warehouse complex with menials and fabrication (there was talk a while back of a plasma refinery in time).

While Kraggan has a small forge and more of an eye for cybernetic reconstruction, armour, and extreme tech heresy.

We definitely are not in the same location, if we were then Kraggan wouldn't given Obidiah directions to find Xerxes' workshops.

Also WE CERTAINLY ARE NOT IN THE SAME CAVERN AS THE ASTARTES. WE cannot allow the Mundanes / Non-Hereteks to see our special ways or listen in on us. WE are Hereteks but we have decorum.

That way you wouldn't have overheard Kraggan talking about Ukalegon's armour to his Tech Thralls.

"I thought that they smelt bad on the outside!"

Am I good to wait on the rest-quirement until after Atesh meets Xerxes?

@Mazer Rackham I guess either Ukalegon will sit out this field trip, or he can go commando unless we can find a lightly used set of pots and pans plus some bailing wire plus some sack cloth to go underneath, though I suppose I would prefer he participate.

Mayhap I can use (read: WASTE) and infamy test to lay hands on a flak tarpaulin to cover his girth.

I thought Orks were the only kommandos.  Hm.

Not a problem, as technically, it hasn't even been 24 hrs for you yet.

There should be sufficient flak and leather from the dead inhabitants to give yourself a flak-carapace and rudimentary gear harness (a STABO rig or somesuch). I would strongly recommend a void suit as your base-layer.

Remember Commissar Kitchener.

I have peered into the abyss ( we’ll, source books ) and my guess is that getting sort of warp creature to act as a navigation aide is probably more to a full Compact than something done on the fly.

I’d say it would involve building / creating a holding pen/ nest/ ship’s helm  before summoning and then binding it. That’s going to take some time.

And Rakash’s is certainly not going to attempt any of that without getting some sleep before scribbling a single rune.

Maybe getting a little research done and developing the basic outline is what Rakash’s going to do till game opens officially ( there was talk of March …)

Otherwise, he’ll likely be joining the little hunt to get a feel for the new guys, I guess?

Thoughts?

This sounds reasonable if Navigator is top priority - certainly opens our options up. Varne will definitely be up for a xeno hunt.

I suppose we *could* attempt to create and enslave a daemonhost to our will as opposed to attempting to infect/possess our ship with a captive greater daemon, but YMMV. We could possibly create something akin to a daemon engine in the form of a possessed cogitator (I think there's a name for these things but it's not coming to me. An Irradial Engine?) that was hard-wired into the navigation blister and kept in line with regular blood sacrifices and the odd electro-prodding.

Although, I rather like the idea of attempting to solicit the services and sponsorship of a medium daemon to be our navigator and benefactor sort of along the lines of the Blood Gorgons and Yetsugai, which I am inclined to agree would be an adventure unto itself.

If you're open to me turning Ukalegon into a leather-clad Mad Max style raider on a temporary basis by scavenging some random gear plus a void suit, then I'm game. I'll have to leave the fusion pistol behind, but this is the BOLTER & CHAINSWORD innit?!

Mate, Xerxes has a combi-bolter just waiting to go.

A Legion combi-bolter (hopefully with chainblade attachment) just lying about, waiting for someone to pick it up?! Okay, how many daemons are bound to it, and what are my odds of being immediately possessed and/or sucked into a warp rift, never to be seen again?

Oh, I forgot we also had a brace of legion bolt pistols in the general use gear pool which could be put to use too...

Also was my request regarding red dot sight for the melta pistol already in the build queue or am I better off saving that for later?
