As isn't uncommon with 40K, this is a unit that is still paying for being too good when it was released.  At the moment, it just doesn't do enough for its inflated point cost - either on its own or in making other units better.  Plus, for Soul forged, the one detachment where it would seem to be a natural fit, it is let down by having the "mounted" rather than "vehicle" key word meaning it doesn't really benefit from being there.

 

I'm still going to paint one up (its next on my paint queue - I have a bad habit of buying units several years after they are actually good and this one has been sitting half painted for a couple of years), but I don't have high hopes or expentations as to its performance.

I love my disco lord... beautiful model. But... why bring him.? Same points as vashtor. Much squishier. Less fun rules. Less... just less. Its quite sad

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Mr Disco is on the apology tour. Not a demon engine is just silly on him. Priced out of the running and no fun rules makes one of my favorite models into a desk buddy. Sad times
