The board rules prevent me from using the words to describe how much I like those models, but I'm feeling very warm and flustered....

are there specific bodies for women custodes? or is it only the head?

Just the heads iirc? Eddie said there's enough bare heads for all of them, he thinks.

Holy guacamole! Safe to say these were NOT designed by whoever did ol' stumpy the Shield-Captain.

Edit: although looking at those bare heads reminds me of President Camacho meeting Not Sure in Idiocracy:

"I thought yo head would be bigger... It's like a peanut!"

Let's getcha sworn in!

I really like the new custodes, the sleaker look suits custodes much better. In the lore they are less affected by the gigantism astartes have, they have more human proportions and features just larger, where space marines look like the have WAY too much human growth hormone going on.

Details are very nice, poses are fairly good. I like all the bare heads too, nice variety there.

Also, its the first show I've seen in a while thats had not one... not two... but THREE different things I've thought "huh... i might actually get that" (Eldar Corsairs, High Elves for blood bowl and Custodes for HH... I dont even play Eldar, Blood Bowl or HH lol)

Heads and chests, if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully they've included enough of both to have a full squad of one or the other.

It's taking a concerning amount of time to load anything in this thread.

That aside, the new Custodes look amazing.

Significant improvement over the old blocky Custodes models and, as shown in the article, definitely still allow for the "classic" all helmets look of the current kits.

The bodies appear to be unisex.

I did think the Jump Custodes had done the Stormcaste eternal thing and had male/female Armour sculpting, but all the breastplates in the kit are sleeker, presumably because they're a flying unit.

And for the people concerned about their 40k applications, WarCom has this at the end of the article:

We’ve dropped a few hints that some of these models are also perfect for using in Warhammer 40,000 and it’s entirely true. A rules update for the Adeptus Custodes is set for later this year.  But several of these new miniatures are already perfectly suitable to represent current units in Warhammer 40,000.

Loving the Custodes glow up. So much nicer slimmed down and without the over the top weapons of the current sculpts.

I may have to do some ShadowKeepers now.

The tanks and dreads are obviously fire. They were already awesome and going to plastic is brilliant news.

The infantry I think I'm a fan of? The proportions look good and they feel closer to some of the Collected Visions artwork. Some parts of them have a bit of a Scibor vibe for anyone who remembers them, but with the legs from Coteaz. Why are they so much plainer?!

Not sure yet that they replace my existing collection just yet.

I stopped collecting the custodes after the lazy and lame retcon.

But those sculpts are a massive step back. The proportions look off badly.

A major downgrade all round.

Oh man, on one hand, I have too many custodes already, on the other, these look absolutely incredible. My wallet is going to hate me so much.

I am disappointed that the Sisters of Silence got nothing though, hopefully they at least get back the options that they lost in the new edition.

Lovely, lovely sculpt. Right out of the pages of Visions of Heresy. The silhouette with the longer plume and the thinned spear. Brilliant.

Is the plastic Grav Carrier massively upsized? Or is the resin kit that scale as well?

Will be sorely tempted by this.

With you there, Sisters of Silence need some more love. A plastic Acquisitor I would struggle to resist, even if only to convert into a weird ride for my Chaos Marines with a Chris Foss style paintjob.

From the pictures in the article it looks like they have done the same thing as with most of the recent Astra Militarum infantry kits - one size male looking bodies but with male and female heads looking heads.

Tanks and Dreadnoughts are superb and great plastic redo of the exiting designs.

Really not sure about the new infantry though.  Will reserve judgement until seeing in person, but currently I think i prefer the previous versions.

Looks like there's some leg scaling differences. Bigger feat for the men.
