Perfect mini as far as I’m concerned. the vehicles are exactly what they should be: the resin ones but plastic. All perfect. I am very very happy with this release! Indy Techwisp
I'm surprised they didn't also update the Jetbikes in this release, but I guess they need to save some Custodes stuff for when they do a range update for the non-custodes in the army so the bulk of Custodes only players still have something to spend money on. soviet1337
These look amazing. Before this preview I hadn't though a custodes army would be in my future but now I think it is. Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf
Really nice miniatures, and all in plastic! The Shield-Captain clearly rocks, lot of details. But it's me or the Custodes infantry look a little too slender...? Irate Khornate
Not a fan of the new infantry sculpts to be honest. They're a bit too busy and slim for me. Evil Eye
I think the proportions work myself; IIRC Custodians are clad in more advanced, form-fitting armour and are a smidge taller than Astartes, so this tracks. Also the art has usually depicted them with a more recognizable human shape than Marines if that makes any sense. roryokane, Indy Techwisp and Dalmyth 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387438-plastic-legio-custodes-battlegroup-coronus-grav-carrier-venatari-liber/page/2/#findComment-6151953 Share on other sites

Robbienw
2 minutes ago, Indy Techwisp said: They are now a more Lore accurate "scaled up human" bodyplan as opposed to using the Spacemarine "Roid monster" bodyplan. Not really. The ‘body plan’ wasn’t the same as a marines on the original models anyway. Claims of lore accurracy are also a red herring, the lore and art is too changeable to claim a definitive look. For me though it’s more the leg change design and loss of decoration that is worse than the previous models, the slimness is ok. Ahzek451
I am not a big custode fan, but I just don't see the infantry as necessary. The 40k models are not that old or that bad. The vehicles however, much needed. LameBeard
When all your dudes are covered in bling, your commander NEEDS a tactical rock to show who’s in charge. Happy for all you Custodes people, the thread above suggests your ranks will swell. I guess I could get one, you know, as a kind of observer to hang out with some completely loyal Word Bearers.
