capt.nuss
Argh.... whats it all about the speeder ? OK, noone likes it, got it. I think i`ll have to take the pics off. @ Captain Hat Oh, another captain... .^^ The LC on threads can be done better, far better, even i could. It was just on a pic accidentally, cause its a 10 min work. I didn`t expect people to respond to it so much... You are right with the gunner/pilot problem in the speeder. I think i`ll be far to lazy to rebuild it, i`ll more likely build another one, with AC and heavy bolter, and a whole different layout. I tried to cut this one appart, but i simply couldn`t - to much work an heart in it i think. Most of my models and armies have a kind of goofy, kinky or mind-boggling (voc?) look... but i want it that way. There are soooo much superb-painted, fw-loving, 'too-much-money' standard armies around, the world needs no more - at least not from me. Btw, the Eurocopter (ur talking about the tiger, i asume) is built in pilot-front-seating. Grey Knight
That mini dread is hillarious! great job, i love it, i love your whole army, it's really nice, just the ladspeeder is a bit iffy, but I've said that already and i you've answered the issue so we needen't go into that at all. The mini dread is wonderful! if you make any more I'd love to see them. Doghouse
I really like the Mechanised battle brother. It threw me for a second when I realised that it wasn't actually a dread, very nice. Don't take off the Landspeeder pictures though, this a WIP threaad and it's important that you show early versions so we can see how your army has developed. Makes for much more interesting reading. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1076025 Share on other sites
Captain Hat
Btw, the Eurocopter (ur talking about the tiger, i asume) is built in pilot-front-seating. You sure? I coulda sworn the Tigre had the gunner at the front. Oh well, not a major point: Everyone else has them the right way around. Tekanan
the use of the mini dready as your termies is a fabulous idea. it fits your army's theme of fighting alongside machines. plus, it's real nice to see an army with mini-dreadnaughts coming after you. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1077086 Share on other sites
Doghouse
@ doghouse u are right... again... U are actually READING all this? even i just come for the pics :) Definately mate, I love seeing other people's models/armies develop and reading their and other people's insights into the modes shown. That's the whole reason I've hung around the B&C all these years, it's a great place to exchange ideas and get inspiration for projects. :) I personally like the Landspeeder but if you're not happy with it just think of it as a stepping stone to the final model. Keep up the good work. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1077419 Share on other sites

capt.nuss
So here is machine brother number 2. This time he uses Assault cannon and Chainfist, as you would have guessed. I won't start talking about photo quality again, although i would have to. So just enjoy machine brother [name to be chosen]. C&C welcome btw. anyone ever tried or seen a deathcult assassin with bionics? That might be my next project... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/minidread2pic1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/minidread2pic2.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/minidread2pic3.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/minidread2pic4.jpg btw. anyone ever tried or seen a deathcult assassin with bionics? Aquilla
No but its a great idea! Make sure to make them as slim and fitting as possible, how about using necron pariah arms? capt.nuss
So here is what i've done so far. Consider the painting about 50% done, and the modelling as more or less finished. She was severely indured in battle once, but the chapter techmarines found her too worthy to die and so she got the bionics to live and fight on. I'd like to do a model thats radio-contolling her mind, and the mind of her soon to come sister, to count as inquisitor. I'd like to hear if you find the bionics fitting, and if you like her pose and weapons. In this state i could still make modelwise changes or improvements. C&C appreciated. I think when shes done i might build a diorama for her, with an unprepared victin beneath her... we'll see. Is this "build a ressurection diorama"- contest still on? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/assassin1WIP1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/assassin1WIP2.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/assassin1WIP3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1080056 Share on other sites

Gyson_Vore
I think the high heeled boot on the bionic leg looks a little... odd? Is there anyother foot option avalible? capt.nuss
jep, of course. option 2 would be a bionic foot Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1081564 Share on other sites
Gyson_Vore
jep, of course. option 2 would be a bionic foot I would try the second one out, but shape the pedal thing so it's not as large as the marines one. So it maybe resembles a foot, doesn't look as bulky on the assasin, ect... Captain Hat
I think the bionic leg is a little long, and I personally would have tried to make the bionic arm smaller and more "delicate" or dextrous-looking, since IMO that would fit with the "Death Cult Assassin" theme a little better, but generally it looks pretty good. capt.nuss
Just a little step this time, cause im doing many jobs for other players at the moment. As i got bored from that, i added a dread banner for the ToM. He also got an improved base and will get some freehands on his armor soon. btw., the text on the banner means something like "take death and give death", what i found perfect for dreads. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/77.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/77a.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1086801 Share on other sites
Bloodwraith
one problem with the mini dread robots. Robots of all kind are outlawed in the imperium punishable by death. Barret
one problem with the mini dread robots. Robots of all kind are outlawed in the imperium punishable by death. Still love the army though. I thought it was just artificial intelligence that was banned, not robots specifically. As long as they're either remote-controlled or have organic brains (like servitors or cogitators), they wouldn't be breaking any laws, although probably coming close, especially to an extremist. But then, what about Space Marines doesn't? :D Cheers, Barret Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1087185 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
I've finally found appropriate use for the truescale marine - he'll be the captain for the jumppack marines. he'll get a nice base design soon and then i'm gonna make some pics of the whole squad. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/sturmtruppboss1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/sturmtruppboss2.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/sturmtruppboss3.jpg This one will be one of the upcoming scouts - i'll perhaps give him golden guns - what do u think? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/scout1.jpg C&C welcome, u know.... CM Dante
Is a back-banner really a good idea on a jump pack?! Nice job so far though the true-scaler's legs look a little un-natural in their pose. I love the action pose for the scout! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1090557 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
sarge scalers pose looks dump now - but wait till he got the base. u are right with the banner on a jump pack of course, but i dont care much for physics in 40k... every sarge has git a back banner and crying around because of a jump back is no excuse. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/5/#findComment-1090561 Share on other sites
