angel robertson
I love the scout pose but he dosen't look very space marineish, looks to much like gaurd! How did you do the pose? And i like the leg position on the JP sarge. cypher_zero
@CM Dante: Are back-banners ever a good idea? It just screams "Shoot me!!" P.S. That scout is awesome! capt.nuss
@ back banners: They are a good idea cause they look good. I went on with the scout and added some incoming fire. In a voting (on another forum) people declined necron gauss bolts as well as plasma fire and voted for heavy bolter / autocannon. So - what do you think of this attempt? I don't know if the pics can transport pose and fire... we'll see. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/q.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/q1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/q12.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1090908 Share on other sites
Dominus Ex Machina
Wow, that is so cool, and very well painted I love it! But I do agree with angel robertson, it does look very Imperial Guard much because of the shoulder pads and las pistols. Still awesome though. capt.nuss
All of my scouts will be buildt as skitarii, the adeptus mechanicus tech guard. He is nothing more than human. He will get symbols of my order on the shoulder pads, and i'm thinking about a bionic eye or something like that. But i will use him as scout with add. CCW. wokkers
the skitarii/scout looks wicked. very well painted and i love the matrix-esque pose. i keep hearing 'spy break' in my head when i look at this model.... ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1091059 Share on other sites
Legion commander Argonas
is the stuff being shot at the scout, bolts? as in, from a boltgun? if so, because he looks soo matrix, I think you shout try and do the little trales that they leave behind in the air, after all, bolts are min rpg's. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1091261 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
The rest of the Scout squad is nearly done now, so i let u take a look at them. If u got a good name for some of them at hand, feel free to post. Since i like naming minis after god-like Painters, one will be called doghouse. You can vote on wich(sp?). - Sarge - "when u push old ammo into the garbage shredder u always should know how far u can go" http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s8.jpg - second in the line of command after sarge http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s1.jpg - after being hit in the head one year ago, he's mentally not very fit - got a smartlink and was assigned to the heavy bolter http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s2.jpg - oldest, but also most experienced member of the sqaud - doesn't speek much http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s3.jpg - has a problem controlling his aggression http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s4.jpg - always in stress with the sarge because of his hairstyle - can spend hours without any movement http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s5.jpg - youngest soldier who did the sniper training successfully in the 143 skitarii - one of the few soldiers prefering instinct over bionics in a firefight http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s6.jpg - no imperial standard uniform fits him - gets angry when u call him Ogryn http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/s7.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1094273 Share on other sites

Terminatorinhell
lol i love the truscale sarge , the old scout guy cuz he looks like a familiar face and why not make a land raider that is enlongated in the middle with 2 turrets on each side??? capt.nuss
After some weeks filled with other projects, here is the next little step for my chapter. Its a scratchbuilt Whirlwind  The size and measurements are quite near to the usual rhino. Please consider these Pics WIP, especially the painting state. I know the front shield is useless in-game, but i simply love warning stripes. The sides show destroyed Medusa (not the one from the summer campaign), an important point in my chapter background. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/ww5.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/ww4.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/ww3.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/ww2.jpg C&C welcome as always - finished pics soon to come. Grey Knight
Your whole army is done to such an awesome standard that it's insane, and , as i have stated before, your aproach to NMM ( for looks instead of realism ) is great. Nice freehand and nice scratchbuild on the whirlwind. Crimson Wyvern
THis army is great. Very characterful. Colors work great together. They look very Tech like with the heavy bolter and such. Great conversion work. The eye color was a good choice too. The green is very piercing. Love the whirlwind though. The way you shaded the red looks excellent. The yellow I am most impressed with. Very natural looking and very well shaded. My favorite model has to be this guy with the aggression problem though. But all the marines are great. Also love the fact that your a fan of Dual Chainswords and dual pistols. Both combinations are awesome. And my favorite dual chainsword guy is your assault marine. The checkered chainswords and everything makes him look awesome. Doghouse
I really like it but I can't quite put my finger on why. The design is highly original and the mural on the sides are a nice touch. 3vilX
that is the best army i have ever seen (even compared to the GW official armies by the 'eavy metal team) also i love that heavy bolter... nice and compact for scouts... cosider it yoinked, along with the dreads, the marines :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1111901 Share on other sites

capt.nuss
The following termi is meant as a prototype for those to come. I concentrated on the colours and the scheme. If it's liked and found fitting to the rest of the army, i'll do some more in the same way. Please excuse that some details are still unfinished. So - do you like him? Does he come together with the rest perfectly? If not, why not? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/tsarge4.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/tsarge1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/tsarge5.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1113762 Share on other sites
The_Chaplain
OMG! Is that a regular termie? It looks good enough to be a friggin' master! I :) the swirls on the armor, fabulous looking mini. My only criticism is the mace top-- it seems a little small, almost like it would roll off the top ;) Still-- iz very kewl! Exodion
That termi is sexy. You should definately go with that for the rest. BUt as said before the mace top is a little small for such a big guy to use. lol, grate models all round love em all Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86310-diy-chapter-tears-of-medusa/page/6/#findComment-1113833 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
@ The_Chaplain and Exodion I thought about your criticism and changed the mace top a bit. its not bigger now, but a put a thin wire between top and handle so that it looks like the mace top is hovering... gives the energy weapon a bit mor energy... So here is the WIP Preview to my next HQ - A Termi Epistolary (dunno if that translation is understandable...) I would appreciate every comment, as usual, but especially about: Do you think a model should have modelled psi-powers? Is there a standard color for psi-powers? How do you like the look und pose? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/epi2.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/epi1.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/epi4.jpg Its WIP, so parts that look like crap are just not painted. Pics of termisquad 1 are soon to come...
