    XIVth Legion build

    By W.A.Rorie

So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence. Silver Lining is LGS not get Saturnine until Monday, so I can get everything I need to do first i.e. my XIXth Legion and Exorcists  Call to Arms Vows, that I have not started. And won't have time this weekend.   I did start on building one of My XIVth Legion Commanders, not sure w

    Jagieŀŀo inspects their prizes

    By GSCUprising

The Resistance have finally captured the war machines they believe they require to make their stand.   Brutus, the Malcador, reliable, dependable the spine of their battleline. She will not fail them. She will hold the line, her battlecannon roaring, her sponsons blazing as she paves the way for the Resistance's advance. The Iron Duke, his twin Earthshaker cannons blasting holes in the enemy's fortifications. He guards those retreating and the wounded behind his massive blast shield

    Square Pants Bob

    By Bouargh

Hi Folks,   Today’s blog entry is a little bit specific as it deals with something different from my usual inputs: instead of reporting hobbying progress, I will talk about a trail I did for a new technique (à la TITH – i.e. something that is not new in general but new for me).     The technique is often reported on purpose of adding details and create battle damages or war-torn marks on miniatures. But beyond painting damages, the sponge might be used on purpose of

    Wrapping Wreckas

    By zulu.tango

Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!    I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. I put a fine terrain paste around those bits and then put in some sand to act as larg

First time painting!

I officially have one member of the Malum Vigilia painted.  Other than the horrible freehand chapter logo, I'm very happy.  Also not done, hopefully it will get better.  Sorry for the crappy pictures, I have no light and my phone sucks Ok heres some better pictures after more work was done.

Anguish

Anguish Chapter 1 Volesus saw Anir stop in his tracks.  He turned to see what stopped him.  Volesus' vision was the bright green of a night vision filter.  No lights remained active in the many kilometers of this estate, after the killings.  Volesus saw Anir lift a hand to his neck, and grasped something.  Something that wasn't there.  His head was forced backwards, his mouth opened, and then his tongue began to deform.  Volesus rushed to save him, but he was not fast enough.  He saw Anir’s to

Malum Vigilia color scheme

Its nothing really special, but after like a year of working on the Vigilia, I finally ordered some miniatures and some paint.  I have two intercessors on the way and this is going to be the actual color scheme.  It will look better on the model (I hope!) and the Main grey color here is actually supposed to be "Iron Warriors" not "Eshin Grey" but i was too lazy to find the right hex.  They're kind of super not flashy, but that's the whole deal.  I'm excited to start painting. And heres the

Thallaxia

Thallaxia Chapter 1 Flame was all around him.  The transport slammed into the ground at rapid speed, and the undercarriage began to peel away as they dragged.  Explosions rolled in series from the direction of the impact, before the ship caught on something, and began to tumble.  On its third roll the ship came to a sharp halt, and Lukan became pinned in the wreckage.  He was wounded, something pierced his armor.  Fires grew around him.  He only felt the pain as he looked down to see it, a j

Blood Spelunking!

Blood Spelunking Prologue The Veyrfall Temple of Water was still once. The waters came from cracks in the stone high up and tumbled down the many rings of walkways that lined the temple walls. It would flow so perfectly one might mistake it for glass. It cascaded down the stone work, gathering into scores of reflecting pools that filled and drained at a constant rate, giving the appearance of a rippling sheet. The flow continued to the grotto below that burbled with springs and geysers, sprea

Hundreds of thousands of Imperial citizens came to hear his words daily. He taught them of the God-Emperor, and their role in His great plan. He told them not to fear the darkness of the void, for the Emperor protects. Surely. The Empero
