Hi Folks,

Bastille day left me with enough time to complete 2 additionnal models from my pledge: the Ironstriders.

These models were in stockpile for a while, more than 2 years, but I was not very enthusiastic for painting them: I used to play at sizes where I have enough models to fulfill most tactical role and I am one of those convinced that Striders behave well mostly at small size when tooled up as Ballistarii.

With the release of the Hastarrii, I am even more convinced of that, but the Striders keep the benefit of high mobility in a cumbersome table. Especially with 11th set ups.

Anyway, I had them so, let's do the job. I gave them Lascannon as the Autocannon, while perfect for opening MEQ, is too goofy looking on the chicken legged walker.

The paint scheme is the same as usual, with a small change on the gun barrel only, plus a fancy decal from HH. 

I've made some efforts on one of the bases, recycling old ruins sections from previous 40k ruin (featured in 3rd or 4th Ed maybe?)

Ad a close up on one of the two walkers; yo will note that I have not set the lateral antennas set on legs on these. It is too fragile and I had to operate various repairs on the other walkers I own, so I have decided to avoid that issue.

I am now only 5 models of completing my pledge, with the Pteraxii. Yet this will be for a later date as I am shifting to ToW: I still have some dwarves units to be painted for the next battle with my kid, and as the scheduled date is closing fast, it is time to give some love to the gyrocopter and the doomseekers.
