This Again? Before someone complains about me bombarding the Age of Darkness forum with threads, I'll say that this thread is a direct result of my decision to retire the "IHF's HH Designs" thread. Basically, with the investment in a graphics tablet, I'm now able to expanad the media I can work in - namely, creating images from scratch - and I'm hoping to explore a number of avenues for creating new images all around the setting of the Heresy. Very Important Stuff: A massive thank you to: Dominic Oedinger Rachel Pierce Rhys Pugh Paul Rudge Ian Strickland who provide the amazing talent to bring to life the 30k universe we know and love. Obviously I also want to thank the writers who create the framework in which these artists work, which spans the pantheon of BL and FW writers. What's This Thread for, Anyway? This'll basically be where I compile any artwork I'm involved with, so that includes line drawings & sketches. If there are relevent rules associated with the image(s) from over on my HH rules thread, I'll post them with the finished image(s). My intention is to keep the 1st couple of posts updated with new stuff as I post it, so there's a single point of reference for all this stuff, but it might seem a little empty for a while as it gets started. ....Sorry: I just wanna say straight off the bat, that I don't take requests, and I don't do commisions. This is partly because of the amount of requests I get for this kinda stuff, and partly because of the time it actually takes to produce a design that's up to the standard I'm happy with - I've got my own plans / narrative for the designs I do, and even if I did take requests, I'd encounter the problem of selecting which ones I'd want to do whilst avoiding any kind of favoritism. Plus, this is a hobby for me, and the time I spend on it waxes and wanes depending primarily on how much I have to focus on my Degree, amongst other things - the time I do spend making new artwork is best spent if I'm really enthusiastic about a project. Now, occasionally in the past, I have included factions designed by other members of the board amongst the work, but that's primarily if I'm being lazy - ultimately, I don't have to make new background or design new insignia because I get to draw from other users' crazy imaginations. This is pretty rare, becuase I have ideas for pretty much all of the different 30k factions, and the faction in question has to fit into the narrative I've got planned.

Hello Fraters, This is a public release to advise that the Cabal of Dead Ink will hopefully be publishing its first PDF project for general availability through the Downloads section soon. (Pending Admin approval etc). The release will be an original short story set in the run up to the Badab War, featuring new or barely known characters, and will hopefully be the first in a series from different perspectives and POV of both the Loyalists and Secessionist forces. It will also contain original artwork (covers and maybe interior art) of the same subject. It will not be a graphic novel product. You can rest assured that all artwork will be board and subject appropriate. The reason for this notice is to not only create interest, but also to prevent any concerns of improper use of the artwork. You can see one of our previous Notices of Interest for Graphic Designers/Digital Artists. We have sourced work from a professional artist called Dan Morison, who has been very generous in allowing us to use his art for this purpose, without remuneration as per GW IP Policy. We have permission to use it, and an email chain to provide evidence of what was agreed. Further, he will receive proper accreditation in the publications we make. The Cabal of Dead Ink would like to use this opportunity to highlight Dan's great style, and to give our public thanks to him for his trust and support. We would encourage anyone interested to go and see his stuff. We are still continuing with our plan in creating a BL Submissions Anthology, which will showcase the work of those who gave their shot to the recent Open Submissions window, but may have been declined, missed the window, or decided not to proceed for whatever reason. We are also working with Fraters within this forum to enhance and support our work with formatting and artistic skills, such as @TheTrans We look forward to discussing this further with any interested parties. Hello everyone. So I kind of created this account to pick all of your brains about a question which has been driving me mental. Does anyone remember seeing or even better have a series of portraits of the Primarchs by an artist that has seemingly scrubbed their presence from the face of the Internet? The style was, as best I can describe, somewhere between stained glass and a tarot card. With each of the primarchs in profile shot like the bust of a head on a coin. The backgrounds were thematic, for instance Lorgar's background had the grey flowers of his homework, the Lion's had a forest with eyes of the beasts of Caliban peering through the branches and so on and so forth. I swear I'm not insane, and sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section, but I'd really like to see if I can find it.

Hi All, I've got an idea for a project but it's fair to say that my ideas far out stretch my ability to draw and sculpt. I think I need to find an artist that I can work with to create some concept sketches and drawings. Then a miniature designer to turn that vision into table top miniatures, I'm thinking I'd prefer to work with someone that can do digital sculpts as I can 3D print them. Though I won't rule out a physical sculptor. So, has anyone worked with anybody that fits the above? What was your experience like? Would you recommend them? Thanks in advance LM
